It actually pries right out. Be careful, it's just aluminum. It is held on by those yellow clips revealed just after. Start on one side and lift a little until you can get under with a flat head or other small pry bar. lift a bit with your hand while sliding the pry bar down the length. (don't forget to put all of the yellow clips back on...I still have one in the cup holder....)
Thank you. Just broke mine today. Tightening a kayak in the bed and too much pressure against the glass. I think I can handle this job.
Clint Elliott you can totally do it. Sorry about the window. Total pain. I still haven’t bought a headache rack. Need to though.
Thanks for this video! Mine is a 2005, and all the parts looks pretty much identical, trying to get the new glass in today.
So no crazy tools needed? I was told I need specialty tools. Also, how long would you say it took.
Glass suction and socket did the job then right?
Yeah. Nothing on TH-cam. We searched high and low. Thx
Thank you I'm trying to figure out if I can put a rig like this in another vehicle which isn't designed for this lol
good luck man. and go for it!
Hey David. How do you take the outer piece (2:56) off? I can’t find it on the internet either. Thank you.
