I just started watching your videos not to long ago and find them very informative. We've been going since the late 70s and will always love it. The price increases are annoying but there really is alot to do. Keep making them and I will keep watching.
I think an opportunity was missed when Max Pass was not talked about, because that system was closer to how Genie plus operates than Fastpass + was. I do live in AZ and thus go to Disneyland more though, so maybe it's just my thought process.
Yup, I’ve always thought the same thing. You had to pay $20/person for maxpass in DLR for years, this was no surprise. I thought it was great because if I remember correctly you could reride an attraction with maxpass multiple times.
@@peaceandlove333 Yes you could, there were no limits unless they were out of FP for the day. You didn't have to pay premium for certain rides either. And you couldn't book in advance but you could purchase it in advance of your trip attached to your ticket. I LOVED max pass. It worked beautifully. I tried Genie+ it definitely limited everything a lot compared to Max Pass. I say make it all like MaxPass.

It's possible to ride things without it, you just have to wait in longer lines. I'm o.k. with that since I'm never really in a hurry or have a goal of a set amount of rides I want to ride. I rarely used FP or FP+ since we are totally seat of your pants type people and don't like having our days planned out.
Does anyone prefer Genie, Genie+ or Lightning Lane over Fast Pass? I know this is probably a rhetorical question, but FastPass had its detractors. I personally was a fan of FastPass.
I get Disney is a business and has to answer to shareholders, etc. But guests staying on Disney properties should be able to purchase Genie+ in advance and at least make some lighting lane reservations in advance. With everything Disney has taken away, ex: magical express, free magic bands, not being able to purchase or make ride reservations in advance, and some of the bad renovation choices. There is less and less advantage / need to stay on Disney property.
It occurred to me that you guys often will show getting better times and using genie+ with one to three people. More often just one person but i would love to see how it works with a group of four. Are there any different tips for a group of four rather than just one person.
That is the one of the things that makes Genie+ better than FastPass+. Anywhere from 1-10 people in your party, it doesn’t matter Genie will still show you the exact same availability. (I believe it used to be up to 12 people but there started to be some issues so now it’s up to 10).
Now..I would like to see ride times that are real and, real time updated, down times listed for free. (?). Everyone's time is at a high cost when in the park!!! I wish Disney acted like they understand that point. Should just charge everyone the same price, make lighting lane free for C and D rides fast lanes. Up charge for A and B rides fast lanes. You could always VIP or plaid plan hours of the day if you have lots of money. I do not think it is easy or fare for most visitors as is. I you know how to play the game or game the system you have a big advantage. They should be making the day at the park easy not hard, like waiting in lines all day.
The money grubbers have ruined Disneyland. Between deferred maintenance (Toy Story Mania was in terrible shape) and the app that never seems to work, our recent visit was very disappointing.
Genie+ was a total game changer for us. We were never in line longer than 30 minutes all day. My life of standing in 2 hour lines at a Disney theme park are over.
Disney is already expensive to visit. for the them to take a free service and charge for it, is a joke. We went over Christmas and didn't purchase and don't planned to in the future.
I know Disney is a business and they need to make profits and such, but honestly the primary reason Genie+ happened is money, money, money

The only thing I wish is that it would be possible to pre-pay for it if you are buying a vacation package.

Genie plus is just a way to help make back the lost revenue when the parks were closed.
