In this match we get to watch as Dayvie (David Kim) shows off his skills with mutas and lings and basically harasses the other guy until a crazy baneling finish. Really shows off the unbridled power of the Zerg in SC2 currently. Banelings rule!
Note the lack of expansion work by the terran as Dayvie grabs multiple expansions and easily has a resource advantage the entire match. Zerglings are so powerful! None of the terran infantry can match even a good set of 5 or so properly micro'd zerglings! - เกม

What's most interesting about these vids, in my opinion, is that it's from dayvie's perspective. It's a pity, really, that we can't see the cursor, but just seeing how quickly the cam moves around the map, from one point of interest to another and back again, just seeing the speed with which he manages and micromanages everything, gives you a feeling of how good a player David Kim has become. The Terran might have been a bad player, in comparison, but dayvie's still badass. ^^
Ownage just with zerglings, mutas and banelings. So simple. Really beautiful.
He took some damage from the reaper assault earlier, and great counter attack with the Mutalisks and Zerglings.
At 5:38, I can imagine Dustin Browder saying "TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE DAMAGE!!!"

David Kim is a Korean, in fact, he used to be a professional Korean SC1 player. Also, he's been playing SC2 AS HIS JOB since pre-alpha. He has far more experience with SC2 then anyone else...period.
all of the arrow things on the gound; rally points? how were they all connected, or were they all just from the different buildings he selected?
that would just be awesome for the rest of the banelings to just blow up and destroy all the others!

I thought in the battle reports, banelings's hp is affected when they are damaged by their own explosion, but it looks like if one blows up, the rest doesn't.
And those marines should seriously get a shield and Stim pacs.

it bounces around as much as it does because it is following dayvie's viewpoint. He happens to be the #1 player on ladder right now. so hes that fast :-D

also, keep in mind that 'Dayvie' is David Kim, and atm he's probably the best SC2 player on the planet. in addition to that, I've seen terran players win a crapload of times in beta---they're maybe a little underpar, but it isn't that huge a difference.

banelings should have splash damage not only to enemies but to friendlies too

lets think about this, if banelings' explosion caused friendly fire, what would happen to the rest of the banelings after the first one or two exploded? They'd all die. In addition, because there are so many close-range zerg units, it would make banelings virtually useless; gameplay > realism.

I bet you could win a game alone with nothing but mass zerglings and banelings and maybe a nydus worm if you can't seem to get at the enemy. Unless they mange to go mass air of course.

wow I have now watched about 20 replays with terran and they never win. Did they play this game before release?
if you lose all command centers, nexus, or hatcheries all your buildings will be revealed.

lmao, it hasn't been released yet, this is all beta footage. terran will undoubtedly get some love before actual release

a lot of ppl have said sc2 beta is disapointing, and i see what they mean. though i havent played it yet (:P) it looks too much like sc1 in fact its MUCH too similar considering there was like a 15 year difference. in fact, put in sc1 graphics and uve pretty much got the same game except with replaced units that do the same things.. of course there are some new abilities but sheesh
@Lucky466 if u complain about the muta stacking, at least say to make the muta not able to stack... instead of taking them out of the game...

Though the Terran player was pretty crap, you don't really have to play up David Kim's massive superiority in your description. It's also because he's been playing with these units and maps since Alpha stage...

i would secretly be very glad if they removed mutas... i dont care what anyone says, muta stacking is a freakign glitch. its just like wave dashing in smash bros or snaking in mario kart.
