How can old technology sound better than the modern one I really miss old day.

It has less to do with the technical specs and more with the mixing. AC-3 tracks on Laserdisc were usually just straight dumps of the theatrical mixes so they were optimized for cinemas rather than home theaters.

near field garbage trash blu and uhd atmos are garbage trash . half the mix of the dynamic range is thrown out the window for the rubbish soundbars .

What about the audio mix on the 2001 DVD version?

      Slightly worse than BD(2011).
      No need to compare.

@@kennak8678I actually thought the 2001 DVD sounded way better than the Blu Ray imo. The later releases really messed with the sound design and played with the video/coloring way too much.

I found it odd how they still used physical models in this film

They used models/minatures in all the prequels.

The Star Wars prequel trilogy uses more modeling and “traditional” special effects than in the original trilogy. Most folks just assumed everything was digital and shot on a blue screen.

AC-3 THX Laserdisc is the winner dynamic range slam, dynamic kick, dynamic depth.,. bluray = rubbish lossless garbage trash. 4k = rubbish garbage trash. dolby truehd atmos is a joke. atmos they do cheap manual mixes not even proper stem tracks on old movies, beware that atmos is a cash atmos cow.
AC-3 THX = Jedi Blaster Lightsabers on my JBL professional cinema 38.000kw with actual cinema Lucasfilm Ltd THX sound system, crossover/monitor. bluray/4k is garbage trash the so called lossless audio is a scam.
