I don't have any relationship with ASoIaF; I got through the first book, but the second completely lost me, so I cannot speak about GRRM. But the problem with "the author don't owe fans an ending" is that, while technically true, the author often still tries to bank on that fandom, instead of just being honest and saying "Yeah, that next book is probably not going to happen." The author most guilty of this is probably Rothfuss: some of the things he's done might actually be illegal... Fans would still be disappointed, but most would be understanding instead of angry at not getting the ending. The resentment comes from fans feeling that the author holds the work that they love hostage.

Speaking as someone who only ever sow the animation of the Tyrant dragon, I didn't originally got the impression that the story was an allegory about conquering biological death (although I can definitely see it now that you mention it). I kind of got a sense that it was more about people getting so used to living in terrible circumstances (corrupt social/religious system or broken environment) that were impossible to overcome at the time, and rather then working towards a better future, many choosing to surrender themselves to the status quo and tiring to justify the bad thing as necessary and good in order to temporarily pacify the worry's and suffering of the people and not rick bringing more trouble by openly rocking the boat. Maybe a lot of why the internet is so hard to get out of your head is because it was put together by data scientists, people who value every chunk of information highly. My personal criticism of GRRM is he needs to quit lying to his fans. Every time he says some dumb shit like "I'm hiding away and doing nothing but working on Winds" it comes out he's actually working on a bunch of side projects. I don't care if he wrote himself into a corner he can't write his way out of. I don't care if Dumb and Dumber used his ending and now that everyone hates it he can't use it and is stuck. I don't care if it's flat out greed and he knows he can make more money on the spinoffs while keeping everyone waiting for Winds. Just have the balls to come out and speak the truth.

I don't know jack shit about Castlevania, but they can get back Dracula Lords of Shadow style
Why do some livestreams have the live chat visible afterwards, while some don't?
I was first going to ask why Red has a crown now.
And then I realized. Why *didn't* Red have a crown until now?
I think she had the crown in all OSP after dark streams. At least I remember them from the tropes one.
Finally catch em live and this happens lol "bullshit all the way down" indeed haha

If anyone can link me that Tumblr post Red mentions at 1:26:27, I’d greatly appreciate it.
i replied it, but it’s a link so it might be automatically hidden. if you can’t see my reply you can also find the post by googling “comicaurora dragon tyrant” and it should be the first result :)
An hour so Chaotic it was two hours
I am from New Hampshire and almost went to that show!
Also its not "con-CORD" it is "CON-ahd"
Isn't the idea of they owe us something the plot of the incredibles?
I was MAKING MY BLUE EYE SAMURAI COSPLAY at 1:27:10 and freaked out when they mentioned it
Red completely ignoring FFXVI and FFVII being timed exclusives on the PS4😢 30:47

39:43 Blizzard trying to make their own e-sports scene also ruined Heroes of the Storm, the LEAST TOXIC MOBA...
This is Great 👍
Carmilla? Bathory? I'm a degenerate weeb Fate fan, and y'all are making Castlevania sound pretty appealing.
Its gone :(
Rip stream
Oh man I have been waiting for the Erzebet Bathory snark ever since I watched Nocturne, I am so annoyed by her.
Pokémon's quality going downhill can't totally be put on Nintendo, as The Pokémon Company is a joint venture between Nintendo, Game Freak (the actual devs), and Creatures.
Would be nice to see a return to form, though...
I loved spider man turn off the dark
Vampire Robespierre would be a lot more fun than vampire Napolean
Talking about how crowdfunding is basically gambling, thats why I wont preorder things, b/c it's basically the same, only they need the money less. haha
The best thing about how Game of Thrones ended is that the showrunners rushed the finale to move on to their Star Wars movie... And lost their shot at that because of how terrible the last two seasons were. 😂
Oops
hollow knight fans are patient because they're subconsciously hesitant to actually play it.
listen.

More graphics only leads to diminishing returns, stylization leads to uniqueness and longevity of the game
