Hey I had a special mission too! But I was asked to take my pants off for some reason. I don't really remember much else. But we won? I think we did, the commander was very happy.
Thank you for this video, it's good to hear someone else's perspective and experiences concerning this that closely matches my own. I tried to explain this on Manoespecial's YT vid he put out last week and was basically LOL'ed off the channel.
Nice, the effort put in really shows here. With new supply logistics, new types of armor for axis, fixing k98 reload animation etc. the game might change significantly so we gonna see what it brings.
Information is the most important weapon! What you have here makes sense to a data scientist. But I have to add that it makes sense only, and only if, the SLs follow the Commander who has this information. I like employing psychology to get the job done. It always helps - I can vouch for it.
Dang I was honestly expecting some generic "K98 bad" video but I was impressed. I agree with your ideas about the maps. I think that there should be some sort of way where the team that doesn't control the main objective have some sort of way to put a garrison in enemy territory.
Fantastic video! I think another factor is there are quite a lot of middle cap zones generally favour the americans. For example eglise has 2 even points but then the church favours them getting the first cap, utah same again, 2 even points and then chapel favours the US for the first cap, PHL has 2 caps that favour the americans, same with hurtgen and arguably du mont. This means that the Americans can make that first cap more reliably than the germans and then re-enforce. But then objectives that see a heavy german bias have nice routes for the attackers, for example west bend the allies get the forest to the south which makes attacking this point much more managable and if they ever cap the point its VERY hard for the germans to cap it by attacking from the north you often see them flank to try and use the forest themselves for cover. Ofc this is only really relevent to comp games, public games are a mess where a LOT of mistakes get made so some imbalance isnt the end of the world, most matches is normally 1 side rolling the other until the SL's or commanders change enough to the point that its a close game or the other side starts winning rather than anything else.
Were you deliberately trolling the guys on the special mission? How long was it before they realised they couldn’t build the nodes where you sent them?
What baffles me is is that if you cap the point, the whole map area is captured along a straight line, instead of being just the squares adjacent to it, leading to an jagged front line. Having a few more cap points with squares adjacent to it which go to whatever team controls the point (instead of the current system) would make, in my opinion, the games more dynamic and would organically encourage flanking maneuvers, and would cut down the rush to mid and the ensuing grind.
One critical point I would add is, maps with the hardpoint heavily favoring one side, such as Foy which favors mostly German points and STDu favoring allies spawns, so I think thats the major game changer, cause simply if you have 100 less meter to travel you just have a better chance of capping, thats how our clan vs clan has played out at least =7Cav=Rob.Y
Of course being on the Allies team doesnt neccesserally mean you win, but it means you have the M1 garand on pretty much every utility class, while the krauts have some crappy bolt action and cant just spam left click if they miss a shot or if they spot a big group. And yeah, the team that captures the middle point is more likely to win, the same way that in any sport you will find statistics that show the first guy to score is also more likely to win.
Looking back from update 8, the devs definitely didn't see this video or your other one about gridlines. They made it even worse with only allowing nodes in captured territory. It's a grind!
Your very last point made me rethink everything honestly: "Get an SSD and get in the game early" Should hardware determine the first cap? Could a simple pre-game timer like how Squad or event Team Fortress 2 where you have 60 seconds pre-game to sit in your spawn, let everyone load, pick their squads, get gear, etc. make a large difference? If a team on average has slower load times due to hardware, why should they be last to the point? I wonder if an equalizing timer, a flood gate to hold back both teams until you let everyone rush at the same moment, could help prevent the 1-2 soldiers who trickle from one side and the possibly equal or larger force that loaded in quickly coming on from the other.
Nice vid Dude. People always moan about how the Americans are OP compared to the Germans, and that may be true, but I've lost many many times to the Germans and also won many many times. So it's all about the team and communication. Anybody can win.
Perhaps we need to have temporary garrisons close to the front line for the first 2 minutes in the game. Close that distance more and allow both teams a better chance to get to the point. In consolidation the first two minutes allow nodes to be built quicker and perhaps supply guys have a briefly faster rate of laying down supplies. May harm public games so perhaps those rules should only apply to competitive. Would solve the issue and severely raise the bar on coordination and team play in the early game.
I was successfully able to get the game refunded for this issue, It's difficult to get on the allied team I think in my several hours playing I got to play allied once, and in my several hours playing that was the only game where my team won its just that unbalanced and I just could not have any fun because of it, each and everytime allied would steamroll you and you would spend the majority of your time watching a respawn counter just to spawn and get spawn camped. I am all for realism and high TTK games but not when it's this broken to the point where you can't even take 3 steps out of spawn.
And now the game is in turmoil. U8 has turned everything good that the game already had and turned it upside down. Sprint speed is way too slow, Garry 200m placement is ridiculous, hit reg is not working 4/10 times, and servers seem way slower due to the new graphics
Allies semi auto rifles are designed for offense. Kar 98 and mg42 are designed for defense. Germans are inherently bad at attack due to lack of dps on the move and ability to take out multiple targets quickly with kar 98. Ever played offensive game mode with the Germans on offense? Germans usually can't get past the 2nd set of points lol
Best content in HLL right now
really is!

Yeah I bet, it took me ages to get my head around this. Needs actual thought and not just a simple quick fix. No lol'ing off here my dude.

Really digging your channel and have had some of the best games on EXD servers. Keep it up

You're best vid so far, Bill, absolutely brilliant and funny. May the views be with you. Get a Nvme m.2 though, preferably a pcie 4.0 one ;)

A Gentle Boy Thanks! I’m gunna keep up the grind, don’t you worry!
Thx mate, great vid, had a laugh and I think you are right. The special mission trick I am gonna try myself;)
You ARE the prom queen, Wild Bill!
Maybe allow to build garrisons in the middle point to both sides?
Mate, thats an EPIC Video!
Top content!
Also, I am featured in this Video! 😂
Thank you so much for this video! Made my night!
Were you deliberately trolling the guys on the special mission? How long was it before they realised they couldn’t build the nodes where you sent them?
Steel Task lol I did correct myself but cut it out. I would never give bad intel on such a special mission
@@wildbilljammin I’m not criticising 😂, should’ve asked for some tartan paint as well.
@@wildbilljammin Plus using the move marker to mark some randoms where to go, when they can't see those xd
I would love to see these competitive games streamed, with the view from both sides, would be sick
aye hopefully they’ll add an admin/free cam thing in soon!

Brilliantly informative video, thanks for sharing!!....

“ krauts “ lol pretty rude
good one
Haha, you should have setup an Amazon referral link to some SSD's. Great sales pitch
Yeah, quote Wild Bill Jammin with your next purchase. They won't have a clue what you mean but maybe it'll spread the word!
@@wildbilljammin If I ever buy another I'll be sure to mention you in the review
“So go out and get an SSD, so you can get in the game early” this made me laugh. Such brilliant humor.

Gamora: Did they release update 8?
Me: Yes....
Gamora: What did they change?
Me: Everything....
Cheers from Inglorious Bastards xd.
We are looking for breaking the stats against NSK November 1st
Good luck amigos!

Hello, What's the music at 2:13 ?
Should I transfer this game to my ssd? what is the benefit? anyways great vids.
Quicker loading
You’re vids are the best man
Best content going man you crack me up 😂😂😂
So... why do the Allies make it to the middle faster so often then?
That was good and fairly correct.
No hang on i have to be offended can some one help me be offeended
Good shite mate keep them coming
Semi automatic baseline guns versus bolt action guns.
definitely a part of the problem. Always easier to shoot them in the back or the side though
Yes thats wy is there reacon Squad or flankers to destroy garrisons..
how do you decide who gets to do the fun job of flanking rather than the meat grind or defence?
I'm a sniper and so's my wife
The devs didn't see this

They need to do some thinks with the tanks to.... Sherman kills tiger from the front 🧐
Tiger needs 2-3 shells to kill a Sherman??? Don’t feels right
We’re you joking about training being brutal?😂
