Mein 30 saal ka hun or me aisi zindagi jeena chahta hun mein aise khuwaaab dekhta hun Pakistan k ik shehar Lahore mein beth kr. Mein ik middle class family se taluk rkhta hun. Mein jub 19 saal ka tha tb meiny aik movie dekhi thi "into the wild" tub se mujhy ye sb bohat attract krta hai. I randomly got waseem's shb video on my wall. And I instantly fell in love with this.

Hi Waseem. Its good to know that you mother is still heathy and active. Wish her many more happy healthy years. You should record a one on one session with her. I remember she used to write poetry once, the inspiration for which she got from her uncle (forgot his name) like her late cousin Attaul Haq dada. Atta dada's trilingual poetry used to get published in some Islamabad based senior citizens group's quarterly magazine. Once, while visiting Zia, I picked up the mag and started reading one of his Pashto poem loudly when Atta dada entered the drawing room. From then on he used to gift me a copy of the mag having his new poems and I would start reading it in front of him which he liked very much. He would explain all new terms to me like I was his student.
Or I would suggest that you should read a few lines from your mom's poetry every day on the trip and explain it with context while driving. It should add some more spice to your already interesting sessions. ❤❤❤
I plan to do a full session with her and show all her writing and art work. She also has so many fascinating stories of Mardan from her childhood
