    What are "No-oriented questions" and how do they work? Why is it better to ask questions that get the other person to say no instead of yes? Chris Voss, Derek Gaunt, Brandon Voss, and Sandy Hein all answer these questions and more in this in-depth look at No-oriented questions.

    For 2 weeks I couldn't get a client to pick up the phone, connect with me, or call me back. Used 2 "No questions" back to back in a text. (30 seconds apart: "Is tomorrow a bad time to come out for the consult? // Do you want to cancel my service at this time?). // 2 minutes later the phone rang. It was my client with a soft accepting tone of voice and a desire to make a committment for our next appointment.

    Imagine relying on yes momentum to get someone to take something to the copier? "Do you think the sky's blue? Do you hate bad drivers? Could you take this to the copy machine for me?"

    I've watched your master class twice and many of your TH-cam videos. I use many of your techniques successfully in interacting with customers and prospects as I sell. That said, many of your use-cases on videos don't map to real life negotiations -- particularly the 'hostage' scenarios. I'm interested to hear about 'regular life' things, not "You have one hour or I kill her". Customers don't say things like that.

  • @AEVMU
    @AEVMU 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    When I am presented with ''no'' questions, I see right through it as a fake sales tactic. It immediately seems rehearsed and just another form of soft pressure which is even more annoying to me than being direct in a calm and non threatening way. I am honestly surprised this works for so many people. I suspect its not the actual ''no'' question, but asking in that way changes the entire vibe and its really the vibe that matter. Just be polite, calm, and non threatening, the rest doesn't matter. People want autonomy, but they want to not feel threatened even more. If the FBI guy had a different voice, a different tone, a different accent, he would be much less successful. Leading, non threatening questions are just the tip of the iceberg.
