Disney's Magical Moments Parade (2000) | Magic Kingdom | Walt Disney World

Disney's Magical Moments Parade was the daily daytime parade in Magic Kingdom from 1998 to 2001. It was known as the "Remember the Magic" parade from 1996-1998 to celebrate Walt Disney World's (and Magic Kingdom's) 25th anniversary, which does explain much of the musical score. (Disney just removed all references to the 25th. They would later do the same thing with Tapestry of Nations after the Millennial celebration.)
I believe this is before Disney upgraded the parade system in Magic Kingdom, so the score is somewhat repetitive, instead of writing a different score for each float group.
This was taped in July 2000, and is another NTSC 480i video pretending to be 1080p, but increasing the black levels and other minor tweaking, it doesn't look that bad. It was also my first time seriously doing video, because Disney World needed video. This is probably the first parade I taped. I would get better, lol.
Why is being called the "Merciful Version"? At certain points in the video (4:54 and 8:45), the parade would stop for about 3 minutes, and the cast members would pull kids out of the audience and play a game or some activity. You know, a "Magical Moment." Some kids got right into it, and some had that "deer in the headlights" look and were probably scarred for life. And all those kids (including those you see in the audience) are all almost 30 years old or older now...
Anyway, those segments were organized chaos and have been mercifully edited out, which makes the 16 minute parade about 10 minutes long.
Also interesting at 5:00, you can see a cast member hitting the reset switch on the parade float to allow it to move again after an interactive session with the young guests. (There are kill switches on the parade floats, which prevents the vehicle from moving, but keeps all the show elements alive.)
