  • In this month's issue of RANSW, we take a look at Lachlan Valley Railway's tours with 5917 heading the 'Fotoz Flyer' charter across the Blue Mountains of NSW and 3237 and 5917 providing shuttles in Richmond in September, as the railway line is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
Lachlan Valley Railway was first formed in Cowra, NSW in 1974 on the Cowra-Demondrille branch line, which is sadly closed due to safety issues. The two locos now reside in Sydney's large erecting shop (LES), which is home to the 3801 Limited.

I really like the video coverage. A great effort and extremely professional. I'm in envy. These videos and the effort behind them make for valuable archival essays on Australian rail and will be appreciated for generations to come.

Holy evening star! I never realised that an Australian steam train could go that fast, I've only seen a steam train in person twice, but I was only in pre-school when that happend but now I'm just a teen with a steam train/steam vehicle love

Oh wait nevermind. Didn't realize this is in Australia's New South Wales. Not Britain's Wales.
