And the oysters are dead and kept in formaldehyde to keep them from rotting and they are fresh water pearls that won't last a year before the nuclie wears off and they crack and break
Shellfish open their shells due to dehydration or other types of distress, such as too high or too low temperature. An open shell doesn't necessarily mean a shellfish is dead. It's easy to verify this by putting it in water of the right temperature, very often the shellfish will close back very tightly in a matter of seconds or minutes. It makes me so sad to see that people throw out oysters that had been kept on ice, or were out of the water for a few days. A lot of them are still alive and could be eaten safely.

Humans have worked out how to produce multiple pearls and are called cultured pearls. And then the animal is killed just so us humans can look pretty...

These pearl party places are not real quality pearls and why you can buy them for 1 to 5 dollars. It was slightly opened so it was definitely dead beforehand. When they're alive their mouths are closed very tightly.

Let me say that it always goes to view me. How many people get clams to have gyms inside? There's stomach or what not like fake gold. Pearl's pink green orange and many weird stuff and surprisingly apparently Clam's got some diamonds in their stomach And it always confused me why they do that or how they even manage to do it in the first place.

Fun fact: these pearl in that animal is actually made from sand and dirt in the ocean when "the animal" find food and eat they will have a mistake and eat the dirt and sand in ocean and after 30 year or longer, the dirt and sand will become these pearl that we see

Plus it has a kind of nervous system, that's why when some sand particles accidentally or extra bodies intentionally are inserted into the shell, (because that's how the pearls are made) , it feels uncomfortable and secrets this material around that particle to get rid of that uneasiness, and these secretions around that particle form the pearls! This proves that they do feel pain!

I'm a vegetarian personally, but I just don't get the backlash for eating oysters?? I mean y'all know that plants breathe and "live" and die too, right? Like they're also harvested and genetically modified even for us to get better fruits. But vegans eat them because plants don't feel pain. I mean...??
