    That was really tastefully done -- not too simple, but not over-designed. Maybe I need to sharpen mine and force myself to hand them up!

      I actually did this exact rack that Red Beard showed us, I adapted mine to a peg board with the peg board hooks so that you can arrange and rearrange you peg board, it was pretty easy to straighten out the "L" hooks and drill two holes into the chisel rack and press fit it into the rack!

      Dam, You unsubscribed me, Hahaha!! Its cool man. The other holder just got set a side man. It was useful but I didn't like the look.

  • @TwinOaksMd
    @TwinOaksMd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder about this example. The slots could have been cut using the chisels themselves, yet a power tool (table saw) was used to cut the slots. So why buy the chisels?

    • @RedBeardCarpentryWoodworks
      @RedBeardCarpentryWoodworks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TwinOaksMd , I bought the chisels to try and get familiar with using them. I really hadn't ever owned a set. I really enjoy using power tools. Thanks for watching

  • @charlsanthony1823
    @charlsanthony1823 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    There's something your not showing, when the chisels slide into those sloths it goes all the way down to the handles but for your's something is holding it mid way .

    • @RedBeardCarpentryWoodworks
      @RedBeardCarpentryWoodworks  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Charls, the chisels themselves have tapers on them before they go into the wooden handle. This is what they rest on, although each one has a slightly different taper , so they are not perfectly the same height
