My parents are both Welsh by the way, but my mum took German O Level in school and made friends with the student she stayed with on her exchange trip. They're still friends to this day. The advent calendar has a lovely drawing of Munich on the front. From what I remember, it's a Christmas market drawn in pencil, and each window has a different smaller drawing behind it. We hang it up every year still because it looks really nice.

We germans don't do the 25th thing, christmas dinner and presents and everything important happens on the 24th over here, so that's why all of the german advent calenders have 24 doors. 'Zeit für ein gemütliches Frühstück' translates to 'time for a cozy breakfast'. And yes 'Frühstück' means 'breakfast'. The calender itself only says that it is a 'pensioners advent calender' ('Renter' is 'pensioner') and the breakfast theming is only implied by that sentence as far as I could see. Also Chai literally means spice as far as I know, and rerfers to spiced milky tea. In india it is usually served in tiny amounts and consists of pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and maybe some fennel or anis as well as COPIOUS amounts of sugar. It is all usually cooked with some sort of black tea in milk (although I've seen it cooked and served without the tea, just as spiced milk as well). Chai Latte is usually a sanitized western version of this with the spices toned down and often something like vanilla or caramel thrown in there for good measure, but it is still always a milky tea. This specific one is just one of those marketing 'chocolate tea' abominations, wich has nothing to do with the actual thing
