We just completed a 5.5k kms drive from Mumbai to leh and on our way back went to Srinagar. Let me say 1 thing, I'm never going there for sure. There's nothing great about the place and most of the people there weren't very friendly. The only very friendly folks were our army Jawans. Hats off to them for everything they do for our country. Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.

I drove this partial stretch on my solo trip from mumbai to kargil and Kashmir in my tata safari earlier this month on 7 june. He is right . If you don't know people there or in any other state...dont take up offers to stay. Listen to the locals they know better as he did here.Dont be a hero.

Bhai main Surankote se hoon, Surankote 1 city hai bhai Wahan har facility available hai ...Chandimarh area main logon k residential houses hain wahan koi Hotel nhi hai rehne ko.... Aur Behramgala post 2nd number wali pe jo bhai mila aapko jisne aapko suggestion di surankote ke woh khud be surankote k hain hamare senior thay woh High school main.. Achaa laga aapko dekh k yahan hamare area main... Enjoy and stay safe !!

Ankit Bhai Ride safe sir and yes vo road akele cover karne layak nahi hai and also Kashmir me abhi ride kara safe nahi hai not because of weather but because of condition. so, please avoid if not very urgent
