I've only recently "discovered" Jay Leno's Garage - on TH-cam. What a really fanastic show! Jay is so much more the genuine petrolhead enthusiast than the smarty pants boys on Top Gear. Jay, i don't know if you ever get to either read or know about these Comments, but thanks so much for sharing your with us your world of motor vehicles - a few more bikes would be good. Cheers Stephen
This roadster is the missing link for Chevy guys. It has a Ford body with the backbone, heart & soul, and the chevy touches thoughout this roadster to be a Chevy. There's not a lot manufactures building hot rod replica's of this era for the die hard Chevy fans or any other major brands for that matter. It's great to see the thoughtfulness that went into this roadster to not only title it as a true Chevy using an orginal frame. But to maintain Chevy stock corvette emblems, suspension parts, grille, interior gauges, wheels, and more. It's a true tribute to what a 1932 Chevy hot rod roadster could be in a world where most Chevy guys have to settle for a full Ford replica with just a Chevy powerplant in it. Jay Leno's 1932 Chevy Roadster is bad to the bowtie!
"Especially when you have a big face!" This is why Jay Leno is impossible to hate. lol. He takes his shots at people but he takes his shots at himself as well! XD
I read yesterday in a German car magazine "The engine is for many more as the mover, he is the hart“. Of course he is, what else? No car shows this better as your beautiful Bowdie Deuce Roadster. Thanks for showing us so many special cars.
Fell in love with 32 fords when I was 7 or 8 years old. A neighbor, Bob Anderson, May he forever rest in peace, had one that had been in Hot Rod magazine three different times under three different builds. The last build he had put in a Chevy 350 to power the car. His was a three window coupe with the rumble seat which I always thought was so cool. He sold the car when he found out that he had cancer. Always hoped to find it myself and put it in my garage. This car, the Corvette inspired 32 Ford is an amazing build. Would love to have one just like it.
Its good to see that someone can make a roadster without all of the tubing sticking out of the car. Wish i had the kind of money Leno does because I would be doing the exact same things he is!
Mmmmmmm....... mostly I don't care that much for hot rods . . . . . . but this thing is a work of art! Really. There are no unnecessary lines, no arbitrary embellishments yet it fulfills its function perfectly and invites the observer into a new experience. Mies van der Rohe would be proud.
Anybody who says get an automatic transmission is not a real car guy. Simple as that. There is nothing like a manual transmission. This car is awesome.
Jay, don't explain yourself. If someone watching isn't sure why you chose a six speed, then in my opinion, they don't deserve to be watching this channel. You're the greatest Jay
This is at least the 3rd time I've watched this episode i love this car the fact that you put a full hideaway top and power widows in it just makes it a usable car and the stuff u did to it in 05 makes it even better thanks Jay
Hi Jay this is one of my favourite sites ,I enjoy the fact that you always take the cars for a drive.Your collection of cars is great ,the passion you have for cars is wonderful and you see the good in all type of cars.Really a wonderful site
HAS TO BE A STANDARD SHIFT! Thank you for sharing all of your AWESOME car's, and motorcycles and all of your SO cool mechanical engineering marvels!!!!!!!
Being a Ford man, I really can't believe you'd own a Ford with so much Chevy stuff on it. All Ford/Chevy debates aside, there are plenty of awesome Ford parts that could be on that car to keep it all one brand.
Just clean clean clean, it actually takes a lot of work to get a car that clean, especially the engine compartment. I love that look without a bunch of stuff hanging all over the place. Nice.
That is one great car... it’s not about what everyone else wants, but your own tastes. I love the shimmering paint. I would also have done the manual shift. Great job Jay. What kind of money would it take to make another car just like this; with different paint scheme? Thank you for sharing your love of cars.
Well on my country custom garage, they built the entire thing from scratch, and can scaled it accordingly to your budget, and the minimum amount that you can spend "just for the look" with slow engine is $19000
That Rod is so Rad! Awesome design , beautiful lines, Dependable mechanicals, Everything a Hot Rod should be! Well Done Jay, Well Done. JT. from Oregon { Use to have a 30 chev coupe and a 34 chev two door in high school }
Where's the line? It's got a Corvette crate motor, a completely torn out suspension, power windows, disk brakes, and semi slick tires, but a gearbox that makes the car faster is suddenly "not old school"? A car is either old-school or it's not, and this car is definitely not old school just because it has a Tremec. Nothing against manuals, they're fun, but I think it's pretty nonsense to talk like a semi-auto would suddenly cross the line from purebred classic deuce to whatever y'all are talking about. That line was crossed way before he even chose a gearbox.
Amazing Hot Rod Jay, this would be my dream vehicle ! I love the combination of old school design and modern technology. Oh and for the person below asking about the seat belts - it has seat belts, but they clamp on Your waist area (look closely).
Absolutely gorgeous car , Jay has a true love & appreciation of the american muscle cars , and of course the money to own and play with them :P Great vid dude , keep up the great work ...
Absolutely agreed on the manual stick shift; It definitely makes you feel more connected to the car. When I was a kid you got an automatic because you didn't know how to drive.
the world is a better place cause of Jay Leno

Self deprecating. !!!!!

"The Holy Grail of Hot Rodding" !! What a piece of Rod roadster, a work of art!

Just incredible. Hot rod could not be more "clean" than this. Fron all the car's Jay got this is one is on my top 10 by far.
Its good to see that someone can make a roadster without all of the tubing sticking out of the car. Wish i had the kind of money Leno does because I would be doing the exact same things he is!
Jay, I have no……zero……..criticism of you. Only admiration. Not envy! Admiration‼️👍
I'm 22 years old Jay and I get it buddy I get it gotta love goin through the gears
Jay's cars are the best. They mix the old and the new for incredible rides.
Another old school guy that lived in Andover for 15 years, great car!
Anybody who says get an automatic transmission is not a real car guy. Simple as that. There is nothing like a manual transmission. This car is awesome.
I don't care what anyone says, this is one sick deuce coupe! Love it Jay! :)
10:53 living vicariously through Mr Leno. Thank you sir. That car makes me smile. "will it do a burnout? I'm pretty confident" hahaha, love it.
I do prefer it when Jay talks about his own cars because he puts far more effort in because he actually likes them
Jay, don't explain yourself. If someone watching isn't sure why you chose a six speed, then in my opinion, they don't deserve to be watching this channel. You're the greatest Jay
get off his nuttz
+Berna La why you talking about nuts for bro?
This is at least the 3rd time I've watched this episode i love this car the fact that you put a full hideaway top and power widows in it just makes it a usable car and the stuff u did to it in 05 makes it even better thanks Jay
This is such an amazing car, I really love it. I volunteer to drive it once a week for you Jay. No burn outs.
Silver streaking . Gene and Richard would be proud .
Gene Winfield and who is Richard?
Jay looks right in this car, I love the E-types the most but I swear he gives a zen vibe riding around in this!
Hi Jay this is one of my favourite sites ,I enjoy the fact that you always take the cars for a drive.Your collection of cars is great ,the passion you have for cars is wonderful and you see the good in all type of cars.Really a wonderful site
I've watched every video. This is by far my favorite car. LS7 + 6 speed man= awesome. Nice job
HAS TO BE A STANDARD SHIFT! Thank you for sharing all of your AWESOME car's, and motorcycles and all of your SO cool mechanical engineering marvels!!!!!!!

I'm positive you've worked your butt off for many years and it's sure paid off! You have the coolest toys any man could dream about.
Jay is the Man and a class act! Seriously one of the most grounded Hollywood celebrities
What an absolute sweet thing that is! Gotta love a deuce coupe!! I love you, Jay! You're my hero.
I agree. Stick shift is a lot more fun to drive. So we both are old school, and that is fine with me.
That is one beautiful rod. Probably the finest I've seen. Kudos, Jay.
I enjoy watching Jay have so much fun with his cars....
Just a beautiful car. That color is to die for. Thanks Jay.
Thank God it's a stick. Hat's off to you Jay for appreciating a manual gearbox.
my favorite body style of all time. jay has excellent taste.
I like the Chevy flip open cooling vents on the engine side panels.
They were a great idea.
I love how happy he looks when he cruises by.
Agreed shifting makes you feel more connected to the vehicle more in control of the machine and its a hell of alot more fun
Just clean clean clean, it actually takes a lot of work to get a car that clean, especially the engine compartment. I love that look without a bunch of stuff hanging all over the place. Nice.
Back in the 80's I had a friend who had 35 1934 Fords in a barn in Saskatchewan. jay would have loved to see inside that barn
This is my fav car, seen on this channel by far
OH MY THAT BEAUTIFUL SOUND... SO classy
Jay is just the nicest guy for being well off..jay always keeps it real...
This is how you do a Rod ! Just perfect ! Beautiful.... Done right !
That is one great car... it’s not about what everyone else wants, but your own tastes. I love the shimmering paint. I would also have done the manual shift. Great job Jay.

LOOKED GREAT WITH THE TOP UP! ALSO
Awesome car! I love going through the gears. There is nothing like driving a car with a proper "old school" manual transmission!
Thank you for sharing a bit of your enviable life, Jay "Big Face" Leno.
You jealous, bro?
That Rod is so Rad! Awesome design , beautiful lines, Dependable mechanicals, Everything a Hot Rod should be! Well Done Jay, Well Done. JT. from Oregon { Use to have a 30 chev coupe and a 34 chev two door in high school }
I've watched most of the episodes that have been made so far and THIS is the one car I really want to drive. It looks like real hoot!
I love how the floors are dirty. Shows that Jay actually drives the car.
Jay, stick with the six speed gearbox. I'm old school too. This is a fun hot rod.
I'm with you guys

I love that it is a manual. Like he said everyone puts automatics for ease. I bought a 283 Chevy with a 4 speed for my 32 roadster.
Damn you Jay Leno!!!! Why must you live the life I dream of!!!
How I like cars to be: without a spec of dirt - fantastic!! Lovely car, love the colour too
I agree with the stick shift comment Jay! I love my 6MT G35 Sedan, daily drive that thing in NY traffic and I LOVE it!
What a beautiful ride, sweet paint and well put together. Thanks for sharing Jay!
