It is much happier now yes, I've been able to sew without the brace the last couple of days, have to take it slow but it's such a relief as its so awkward. Just something that comes with EDS, I have a cupboard full of various splints and supports so its all par for the course for me. but so frustrating!
Good to hear. Trying to do anything with a brace on is frustrating I have found. Especially trying to crochet. Not sure which is worse. Trying to hold the hook or trying to tension the yarn. Take it steady. Hugs.
don't mind the qualiti of video. it is perfectly visible as well as the audio perfectly understod. all your videos are GOLD!! as a historical reenactor they really helped a lot. i am far from my society for now and alone i can't assist to the workshops and so so even if you don't know it you taughed me and you have accompanied me in my evolution and improovement. Keep it up!!!
It's tricky as there will be a bulge if you close the neckline completely because you have had to remove some fabric for the seam allowances, so you are trying to persuade the larger width of the untouched fabric to lay the same as the edges in the space left by the removed seam allowances. It's just part of the style of dress. It's easier to get it to lay flatter if you let there be a slight gap at the top under the brooch, or tie the ties a little looser. If there is a wrinkle at the bottom of the slit, particularly if it is a neckline with contrasting piece sewn on, you may just need to trim the seam allowance a bit closer around the bottom turn. I hope that makes sense. :)
