- Lupe Fiasco has scrapped more great albums than most rappers have released. For this week's video I went back to take a look at some of the Lupe projects that were slated to come out over the years.

I don't think it's that he's lying about the albums. Sometimes, shit happens and the idea you may have just doesn't work. Happens a lot with me when I have design concepts. I'd also think that a bit of politics gets in the way of being able to release some things.
I definitely agree, I believe that he believed every one of these albums was gonna come out when he announced them. After he came back from his 3rd retirement though I learned to take what he says with a grain of salt lol

He also said he has an album “that’s all Murals”. Who knows if this is one he has previously talked about or yet another unreleased project

I still wanna hear the original version of Lasers before Atlantic changed its direction. Some of the songs that were on it were Army Girl, Scream, Stereo Sun, All Systems Go, You Can Have It All, Ghost and Lasers ft. Matthew Santos.
And I definitely wanna hear the 2003/04 Arista version of Food & Liquor. That's damn near a grail. "Glory," "Failure", "Coulda Been" and "The After Life" were on that album. A bunch of songs from the Arista era leaked like "4 Real", "Lean", "Questions" and "Accept the Troubles" but I don't know what exactly would've made the cut. DJ Marbll whom produced over 15 Lupe songs from the Arista era had a tracklist but unfortunately he lost it.
I really wish we got that CRS album. That would have been a certified classic for sure. Prime Lupe, Pharrell and Kanye is a recipe for a classic.
I was lucky enough to go live with him on IG. It helped me accept all the missed opportunities.
I still really wish we could have tasted LupEND. But I suppose if we had, we'd have never have gotten Japanese Cartoon, T&Y or DW. There is so much we'll never hear and yet I can't help but be grateful for what I've been privileged to enjoy. We love you Lupe

I never knew about Roy. I always thought the Samurai album was a joke. Same with The Cool 2. I thought they were jokes same with the Dre w/ Royce album. And, again, I thought he was joking about the 24 hour album.

I think the 24 hour album was called drill music in Zion, which would be released but the fans would have to pay for it, take it with a grain of salt tho, I can’t remember which one drill music in Zion exactly was

Yes. Lupe confirmed that's its called Drill Music in Zion and he completed the rapping (his part) in 72 hours although he took a 1 day break after the first 24 hours so technically, he did it in 48 hours. Lupe also confirmed that it will release this year. He also revealed on twitter that his label has moved into the video making phase which I guess will be for the singles off the album. So all in all. It looks like we are actually getting Drill Music in Zion this year.

He also has a song called "Animal Pharm" where he uses "Ingenue" by Thom Yorke's side project Atoms for Peace.
Both are on youtube, cuz the samples would cost too much to clear.
