@makingsalt Bias against accents is just wrong! Opera singers have been doing it for 100's of years in Italian, German and French. They can all understand each other. The idea of Europeans carrying the torch forward with this magical music is wonderful! Such talented playing and singing.
What a beautiful rendition! I am brazilian and you made me so proud of my country and so proud of you! The instrumentists captured so nicely the brazilian rythm! And what a sweet voice! The mix of english and spanish accents in portuguese sounded like a reminder of the melting pot of cultures we call Brasil! And the frenchy strong "r" we use in Brasil shows the care you took with the pronuntiation... Thank you! Much love from Brasil ❤❤❤
Everything about this band Nova is admirable, nice tight exceptional playing - blending and sounding very good together, and her singing is perfect for each song they perform, and they do justice to each song they present. I think they would be enhanced with a good percussionist who is mature enough to play the groove and not be distractingly busy like most percussionists are. Nice guitar playing and nice chords.
WHOW, is this ever a surprising and delightful entry in the NOVA catalog. Such a fast tempo, too! I must add this one to my viewing list more often. Thank you, NOVA!
I love it because they reivindicate a genre that has been forgotten internationally that although it was influenced by Jazz on its origins, it influenced modern Jazz after. The voice details, native speakers may notice, do not matter. They are doing a quite terrific work and it is completely acceptable and understandable that you may hear some pronunciation misses.
Although I'm from Brazil I can hardly understand a word. But who cares? Her voice and her movments are sublime. And they tell me the truth: she is a goddess!
