One thing I really loved about this episode was how the whole time, Aang was trying to get katara to notice him but kept failing. But immediately the town is in danger he springs into action like the hero HE IS. My point is katara only noticed him when he was being himself
I always find it interesting that while the Great Divide episode doesn’t really work, while this episode, which is also very self-contained and not really important to the overall story, does.
Well the difference is that The Great Divide does not push neither character development nor story. This episode reinforces character of Sokka and pushes Aang's and Katara's. Also, as far as I remember the creators were forced to make a filler episode that could be run without worrying about the plot, so Nickelodeon could just use it often. That's how The Great Divide happened - an episode that, in my opinion, fails at some point with character consistency (Katara, Sokka and Aang behave less like themselves).
I mean aang is not the only bender but he’s the avatar so he’s technically the strongest bender in the world able to use other bending and summon massive cosmic energy
@@eshwartangirala2240 it's supposed to work that way weirdo. So when they get to know about him more later, their opinion will change and it will be much more satisfying. Quit spoiling

It's fun until u realise the dude who picked the flower saw the lava in the volcano and just said "not my problem" 😂

Can’t wait till y’all get to the 2nd and 3rd book
I have no clue why you didn’t edit in Aang fighting the lava. That’s the best part of the whole episode.
