13:27 what I LOVE about this scene is how much Nishinoya is able to analyze in the seconds that he is "falling". Meaning he has very high reflexes and could in fact stop himself if he wanted to, but obviously chooses not to. Low key is just another way of the anime to show us how cool Noya is!
14:29 Komori was actually an outside hitter until junior high. However, he played on the same team as Sakusa (revealed to be his cousin later on) and thought he couldn't beat Sakusa overall, so he changed position to libero.
15:30 There are actually 52 teams competing in the Spring Nationals. Other than the 47 prefectural representatives (winners), there are 4 prefectures that send 2nd representatives. You can see at this timestamp that Hokkaido's 2nd representative is Morika High School. The 4 prefectures that get 2nd representative are Hokkaido, Kanagawa, Tokyo, and Osaka in real life (but Aichi in manga/anime). Tokyo also gets a 3rd representative for being the host venue, which is Nekoma.
I felt that "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" XD
I had to turn the volume down a little. It ripped my ears when I was editing it xdd
Brush-tooth was so cute😂
I swear when I realized the opening playing in the background I got goosebumps. Wish I could forget haikyuu and rewatch it 😭
Thanks for great reaction as always!
4:46 This sport is called hanetsuki (羽根つき) which people used to play at the beginning of the year in Japan although I have played only once so far & I rarely see someone playing it lately...feeling it so nostalgic to me.
Daichi's nightmare was HInata's reality in junior high. :(
(˘ω˘)
6:10 Shiratorizawa is generally considered as one of the top 8 teams in the country. Also in episode 4 Sakusa confronted Kageyama because he couldn't believe that Shiratorizawa didn't make it to nationals.
15:24 Someone else can correct me but the translation is slightly wrong. 47 is the number of prefectures but the number of teams competing is actually 52. Four prefectures got 2 spots instead of 1 and as we know, Tokyo got 3 spots.
yes i think its like districts but some have more spots open as maybe they have a higher population or stronger teams mby
I was like "Oh, he noticed the toothbrush!", then heard the "brush-tooth" & just had to laugh!😆
3:18 You ARE actually supposed to say thanks for the past year rather than ask for favors, but many don't know this fact & make pleas like Asahi instead.
13:08 Just a FYI: When the Little Giant made it to Haru-Kou nationals (back when it was actually held during spring break), the main venue was the National Yoyogi Stadium, while the main venue since Haru-Kou was moved to January is the Tokyo Gymnasium.
Gonna leave my personal opinions about some of the subs as usual:
6:07 「念を送ってるからなぁ!」→ "Just don't forget...". This is OK, since it makes more sense in English, but the more literal translation would be "I'll be sending my thoughts/vibes your way!".
10:26 「どうせこの旅館の場所も解ってないんでしょう?」→ "Even then, you'd probably never find this inn". This should be more like "You probably don't even know the location of this inn anyways, right?"
15:19「全国47地区の代表校」→ "the 47 representative schools from across Japan". This is a mistranslation. It should be more like "The representative schools from the 47 areas/districts of Japan". There are 47 prefectures. Hokkaido, Kanagawa, & Osaka get 2 rep spots while Tokyo get 3. So the total # of SCHOOLS would be 52 for boys & 52 for girls.
Yeah, I think Kageyama mentioned the Little Giant playing in the National Yoyogi Stadium, but I cut it out 😅

私たち日本人も誤認してる部分があるのだと強く感じました!
とても適切で、翻訳の難しさも参考になりました!
(I strongly felt that we Japanese also have some misunderstandings!
It was very appropriate and the difficulty of translation was also helpful!)
@@すもも-q1o Thank you so much for your feedback❣😊
