I bought mine second hand, It was brand new and even discounted. I paid around 15 bucks for it. I do have to make some adjustments to it, but it won't amount to more than 50 total. I regret nothing

You should do a thrifted dress instead. There's plenty used in great condition because they are only worn once and shein exploits their workers. Tell me, if you handmade a wedding dress from scratch would you want to be paid more than $37 for your work? If that's what shein gets, and they made a profit on that, what do you think the actual workers make? Well, it's about 6 cents per garment. Which is sad. Especially when there are cheaper, more sustainable options. I found my wedding dress used under $20. Saved it from a landfill and didn't exploit anyone. Or, you can take your wedding dress and get it altered into a more modern style. 99% of cheap shein/ wish/ temu whatever fast fashion wedding dresses look awful. She got lucky enough to find one that didn't look like a child's Halloween costume and probably found a good seamstress to fix what she didn't like.
Keep supporting Shein! They may exploit their workers but without sales their workers get laid off and can't afford to eat so kids die. Don't listen to those who are trying to kill off kids by making companies like Shein go bankrupt. If someone can employ those people from Shein and give them better money and working conditions support them, but don't cut off the little that allows these workers to stay alive to boost your ego. Those that really care are actually creating alternative employment to pay these people properly. Everyone else is just virtue signalling for an image boost or likes.

Most of my closet happens to be fast fashion and although I see a portion of my clothes, I’m still buying most fabrics from places like Joann and Hobby Lobby so there isn’t much escape. Well, except for thrifting.
Not to mention a lot of us are broke and in debt college students that still need clothes to look presentable. At one point you may need to make the choice between 5 pairs of pants that you switch everyday for hygiene or only one.

You should do a thrifted dress instead. There's plenty used in great condition because they are only worn once and shein exploits their workers. Tell me, if you handmade a wedding dress from scratch would you want to be paid more than $37 for your work? If that's what shein gets, and they made a profit on that, what do you think the actual workers make?
Well, it's about 6 cents per garment. Which is sad. Especially when there are cheaper, more sustainable options.
I found my wedding dress used under $20. Saved it from a landfill and didn't exploit anyone.
Or, you can take your wedding dress and get it altered into a more modern style.
99% of cheap shein/ wish/ temu whatever fast fashion wedding dresses look awful. She got lucky enough to find one that didn't look like a child's Halloween costume and probably found a good seamstress to fix what she didn't like.
@@umopepisdn. unfortunately there aren’t a lot of options for thrift stores in my area. I live in a really small town which doesn’t give many options.

They may exploit their workers but without sales their workers get laid off and can't afford to eat so kids die.
Don't listen to those who are trying to kill off kids by making companies like Shein go bankrupt. If someone can employ those people from Shein and give them better money and working conditions support them, but don't cut off the little that allows these workers to stay alive to boost your ego.
Those that really care are actually creating alternative employment to pay these people properly. Everyone else is just virtue signalling for an image boost or likes.

I have a silk, emerald green wedding guest dress from there and I kid you not, I got SO many compliments from everyone. I even wore it to 2 different weddings and had 2 different guys from the weddings ask me out...I feel like it was bc of the dress lol (oh & my dress was $15)

It looks fantastic on you! And I can agree that even though I don’t love fast fashion, it’s impossible not to have something from it. Most of my closet happens to be fast fashion and although I see a portion of my clothes, I’m still buying most fabrics from places like Joann and Hobby Lobby so there isn’t much escape. Well, except for thrifting.
Not to mention a lot of us are broke and in debt college students that still need clothes to look presentable. At one point you may need to make the choice between 5 pairs of pants that you switch everyday for hygiene or only one.
