Your idea of modules makes the capsule wardrobe finally click for me! I could never figure out how to narrow down my closet to 12 or 18 or even 30 random pieces, but breaking it down into groups of 3 tops, 2 bottoms, and an outer layer that work together makes so much sense to me.

A capsule wardrobe exercise was a lot of fun! And I have never been interested in capsule wardrobes because I love color and pattern so much. You really helped me out with your colorful fun capsule! What was interesting was I mixed tops and bottoms together that I never would have mixed in the first place. I definitely feel polished now thanks!

I like that you added a few extra top layering pieces and showed most of the outfits including a topper. For me an outfit without a topper feel incomplete most of the time. Liked a lot of the options you showed, can’t choose a favorite. Must have been a lot of work with all the changing and hanging everything back all the time. Thanks, Christie, I watch other You Tubers who create outfits from their own closets that are inspired by Pinterest. I have gone and done the same, though truthfully, I tend to look the same every day. This was very inspiring. I definitely have things in my closet that are beautiful and which I barely ever wear. Not long ago I was looking at some pants online, and was like, "Uh, wait," and yes, I found them in my closet! After I finally caved and bought All Birds, my shoes are in mourning. I guess my default is to dress in clothes that make me feel like I'm still in my pajamas. Sitting here in wool shoes, wool joggers, a wool long sleeve men's shirt, and wool beanie. Pretty much all black with a touch of dark gray. If I ever have the space and a walk in closet, I'll lay everything out and make a bunch of modules.
I've lost a ton of weight and very few pieces from my closet fit well anymore. I've been so overwhelmed at the thought of replacing everything but this is giving me so much inspiration to work with what I have + some new strategic pieces. And keep my closet LEAN in the future :)
BTW The music in this video is so energetic. Would please consider to show a video “How to style 3 basic dresses different ways ? with shoes or accessories? For different climates? Thank you.
Most capsule wardrobes use neutral colors which does not inspire me. Here is a tip for warm toned women. I have warm blonde hair and warm light skin so white and black are not good for me...those are cool toned. I have built up capsules in warm brown tones, creams, warm reds, orange, navy, and denim. These all mix well for me. I pair them with leopard prints and patterned shirts and blouses that mix some of these colors....solids are of course, more easy to combine, but I do like a dose of a beautiful print sometimes. I use scarves when I want just a little touch of a print....third layers are always what polish a look for me. Thanks for teaching me much of this over the past couple of years. And for trying on all those outfits for us..quite a workout!

Holy crap, what a great video Christie!! Wow. I love dressing in separates but I live in Naples Florida where its hot pretty much year round. So about 80% of my wardrobe consists of dresses to keep me cool. But I'm looking forward to January and February where its gets a little cooler so I can dig out my blazers and pants! All are so pretty, but my favorites are 5:456:006:127:017:337:42. 8:14. 8:208:418:468:549:039:07 Man, that's a LOT of changes!! Looking at my closet now, I have too many clothes. But, It's hard for me to get rid of clothes because I've done that in the past, and regretted it. However, I've been wearing more combinations lately and doing much less shopping. Most of my pieces are 2nd hand since I LOVE vintage, and unusual styles, which I can get at a great price thrifting. Also, I'm losing weight so thrift shops are a better option for something affordable when the old clothes are too big, and I'm not yet at my goal size....and that's another reason why I have too many clothes because they range in sizes. I've been better about getting rid of the clothes that are too big, but it's been hard because there's those thoughts in the back of my mind saying, what if you gain it back and need the bigger clothes. Now I'm at the point where I'm on a low buy and are working with what I've got, and either selling or donating what I haven't worn in awhile. This was interesting! It made me realize I have even MORE options than I thought. 😄
Watching this makes me want to try it with my wardrobe! I have two problems: picking the colour/s to focus on, and where to wear the resulting outfits when I'm stuck in lockdown and dressing up to go grocery shopping! 🤣

I have a fluent capsule wardrobe = an all year base capsule wardrobe + I add seasonal items 4 times a year from stored away clothes. Question is, how should I sort the stored away clothes? By color, by category, by season? I tried by season before, but sometimes you need a warm sweater also in spring and summer.
I use to only wear black! Then I got some navy and grey and white! Now I’m adding shirts and some with color that will go with all of the base colours. It’s so hard to find the items and it’s also hard on a budget! Help!!!🦋

I don't use a capsule either, but this is a BRILLIANT way to build your closet! It's what I do with mine also. :)

Need to do videos for all four seasons and one for formal wear and Christmas season and maybe athletic wear and vacation wear!
