I have a problem with the billhook because it has the tendency to turn in your hand, so you hit with blunt topside or the side.its a bit annoying. I see you use your index finger to correct this.
@AbellTo hi I've used a billhook professionally as part of a Rhododendron control programme up in the Highlands of Scotland. It is a useful tool but can be a bit annoying sometimes.
Finally someone who knows how to use a billhook correctly. Cheers J
Haha I don’t know about that but I find it works for me.
Thanks for watching
Good clear instructions. Thanks.
Thanks so much
thanks for sharing that!
Your most welcome thanks for watching and getting in touch
Thank you
You’re most welcome
great stuff , are you an arborist and is that a chainsaw jacket ? what make is it also
Thank you, no I’m not an arborist, not a chainsaw jacket either I’m afraid. I think it’s called a soft shell jacket by regatta
Where can I get this billhook
Some say it’s still possible to get it from Europe shipped to the UK.
Failing that, Wilkinson Sword do one that looks identical
I knew they were discontinuing them so I have some spare ones to last me😉
What is the hole in the end for?
I use it to hang it up, I prepare a forked stick and hang it on it
@@AbellTo thanks

Ah I see, I’d not noticed that. Hope you get on ok and can persevere with it

@ I love mine, there’s lots of different patterns and as yet I’ve never found an old one that suits me as well as this Fiskars
