I refuse to ever open anything sealed though because of the gamble aspect and loss of value which is no fun. I also feel like i never have enough of the product. So many issues to address and fix.

I try to never spend more then 10-12% of my annual income a year. I do make some profit and I do have very impressive collection over the last 4 years. But i also don’t drink my fiancé are very modest in our lifestyle and I love consuming content. I go to Orlando collect a con every year because it falls on my bday weekend. I have been fortunate to make many friends the hobby, and it brings me joy. Right now I am taking advantage of the dip because with so many cards coming back from psa I’m buy high end cards at massive lows because so many where sent to psa and adding them to my collection. I do make above average income for my state. I do also love to look at my collection a lot. Always posting on reddit, Twitter, and Instagram with my new buys and pick ups. I believe the Pokémon hobby is special because I makes adults feel like kids again. Yes, there is money to be made and I admit I have profited from The hobby as well but as a 30 year old man who works two jobs it makes me feel like I’m a kid again and love making friends
Almost everything else I put $ into is a higher priority to me than Pokemon cards. I'll always echo the opinion that ppl shouldnt buy collectibles with money they need to get back at some point, will it work out - maybe, but it's not a wise move. Great video discussion 👍🏼
