It's been hinted at by several sources that part of the reason EVGA ditched the nvidia gpu business is because nvidia is making it impossible to differentiate the lineup. I bet the difference between the cheap card here and a Founders Edition is negligible, and that is the only msrp 4090.... so..... why would msi spend the engineering and resources to engineer a gpu that is 30% more $$$ for 4% performance gains? I'm beginning to think evga made the wise choice......

Usually the more expensive GPUs have better binned chips and can be overclocked better than the cheaper ones of course. But this time around the 4090s are so limited that there's no justifiable reason to get the more expensive one. I got the ASUS TUF 4090 and it's the coolest GPU i've ever owned and overclocks the best, I've owned a GTX 960, 1070 and 3080 in the past. The ASUS TUF is really awesome, 68c is the highest I've ever seen it, using 440-450w, and in most games it uses 280-350w with temps from 50-65c which is just nuts coming from a 3080 that used 400w and hit 82c or 450w for 86c
If I'm going to spend $1600 on a card, I want one from a company that actually honors their end of the warranty like EVGA did. Having the best cooler would be a nice to have.
Zotac is pretty quiet, I strongly recommend it. However not sure about durability..Unreal Engine 5 runs like honey though and temp doesn't go above 50 degrees
