Glad that you are in the Vaal. Do check out Emerald Resort and Casino, the Iron Restaurant in the Emfuleni Golf Estate in Vanderbijlpark, not very far away from Stonehaven were you where. You can also checkout Pont de Val Estate , which is an Italian Themed wine Estate on the Vaal River back. You can also visit Parys which is Paris in the Free State,which is not very far away from where you are. And also while you are in the Vaal , you can also visit the Vaal Mall , which is the heartbeat of the Vaal. But do go to.
There are nice restaurants in Vanderbijlpark SE 8 Shopping Complex in the Vaal. While you are in the Vaal do visit Three Rivers River Square, and the Midvaal while you are it. There is Meyerton, Mall of the South in Johannesburg South , and the pristine Eye of Africa Golf & Residential Estate.
The Vaal is an amazing place to live in Gauteng. It offers a laid back relaxed lifestyle as compared to to Johannesburg, and people are much friendlier and it's generally much safer than Johannesburg, while unfortunately less developed than the Johannesburg Metropolis. While the Vaal(Vanderbijlpark) it is only about 40 minutes from Johannesburg. So you can communicate in to the Vaal to Joburg visa versa. But do visit the FREE STATE. Clarens is the prestige town on the Eastern Free State which is about 340 KM / 3 hour 40 minutes from Johannesburg. At Clarens you van visit the Golden Gardens National Park and the Drakensberg Mountains which is really beautiful. Enjoy South Africa folks!
