This episode made me want to call my brother. I don't have one so I called my sister and let me tell you, she was NOT happy about being woken up to hear about a golf match between people she's never heard of.
I was not prepared to see what TC's hair looked like when he pulled off the hat for the handshakes. Much respect for chasing the TC glory days as a 43 year old
I came here for Mapped, that series where two of you on a limited budget travel the lesser explored U.S. locales in search for affordable cartography? Tourist Sauce will certainly do though.
This was a masterpiece. The tension throughout as a long time NLU fan. Classic face trying to get over the long time heel. Nearly leapt out my seat when Neil stiffed it from the opposite fairway. A turning point. A statement.
DJ opting to use the pounding of my own heart in my ears as the soundtrack for holes 17-20 of that match was unexpectedly the best editing choice he has ever made.
Man what a great match. The editing really built the tension. Congrats to Neil on the win and making to the championship round! Even more congrats to TC for being crowned Mr. Belvedere for completely sitting on his balls during the playoffs! A great honor in it's own right 🎉
Helps that I'm from Petoskey, but this is my favorite NLU video ever, one I go back to every six months or so. Great rivalry, hilarious commentary (Soly trying to get DJ to bite on the handicap bait always gets me), and such a pure golf course. The moment where the jazz pipes in is also the most memorable music supervision decision in NLU's history. 10/10.
Y'all have really outdone yourselves (again!) ... for example the drone shot of the dew-sweepers at 34:29 during Big Randy's 1920's words commentary is a wonderful "Easter egg" hidden in this gem of an episode. So psyched that icarito's wings didn't melt as I expected them to!
What an excellent match. I think the inevitable happened though and I think this is a major turning point in the Strapped Boy vs. C-Suite narrative. Extremely bold of Tron to go with the untucked shirt at the private club. QUICK NOTE ON BAY HARBOR - it’s extremely expensive to play on its own. If you are a guest at either Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands on a golf package you can play Bay Harbor for $50-$75 as an upgrade to the package.
That is some of the best golf content out there! Killer editing by DJ and the crew. What a great match... I legit swore out loud when Neil missed that birdie putt to win on the 19th
I’m actually speechless in my retort. “The Match” not only lived up to the hype but was given its due credit and was featured as it should’ve been. Of course the production was top notch as usual and thankfully for those of us on #TeamNeil, our Johnny Moxon gets his full ride to Brown (aka the championship)
I can relate to having epic and tense matches vs my older brother. Took me years to finally beat him. Many mental hurdles and scar tissue of faltering down the stretch to overcome. Happy for Neil to get the W
One brother misjudges an ODG interview question by 75 years, the other a 70 yard approach shot by two clubs, but only one asks where the wind is. The other is the champ.... great match.
Would really love to get the f-15 ball (14:51?) in the bag. It's the Sweet Baby Ray's of sauce. Not really what you want, but also exactly what you want.
You gotta hand it to DJ for his professionalism amongst all those hot mics. Especially when every Neil missed putt “for the win” means another 1-2 hours in the editing bay.
It felt for the first time in a Tourist Sauce installment that that the focus was more on the Battle Royale between the brothers Schuster than it was about the course (Belvedere, in this case), which was totally fine. It was an enthralling match and one which I found myself on the edge of my seat wondering if Neil would have an "Icarito" moment and choke away his lead or if he would somehow find the mental fortitude to overcome his demons and finally take down his elder sibling. Neil's shot over the trees on the second extra hole won him the match, even though it was decided until the following hole. I'm sure Tron was thinking he had him being in the fairway while his brother appeared to be in jail and for Neil to hit the shot he did is a thing of legend. It was his Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson Masters moment. Tron was obviously flummoxed by what he just witnessed, which affected is drive on #3 and it was match over. I was really hoping the Par 3 4th would decide the match, as that's such a bitch of a par 3, but it was as an intense a match with a fitting end, as Neil was the dominate player for most of the match - not to mention he was giving two strokes to Tron. So Kudos to Schuster the younger for his well-deserved victory over his older brother and congrats to D.J. Pie and crew for doing an outstanding job capturing the drama and condensing it to fit within a 40 minute time-frame. That said, Belvedere was really the unsung star of the show and provided a perfect setting for this episode. It is what all truly great golf courses should be about. There's no pomp and circumstance there. The club itself is very modest and spartan and the membership is transient. It's all about the course and the true test of golf it presents. I've played there several times and will play it bunch more in my lifetime, as it's one of my favorite stops in all of northern, MI. Thanks for portraying it as you did and hope all of you will return one day.
Tourists pureed always makes for great sauce. Just remember to strip them of their knit sweaters and golf shoes first, or they'll jam up the blades in your blender.
I was more stressed watching that than the Ryder Cup. Thanks god Neil pulled it out of the bag but seriously man, time to let go of the Icarito-ness. TC didn’t grind (with the exception of the last par putt), you just opened the door and held it as he walked through. Cmon the Strapped Boys!!!
Pretty sure he got hammered at the afternoon 9 at the lakefront course ... needed to take the edge off the tension from that stressful match. I was right there with you. Pretty sure TC had pulled it out. Very well edited!
This is a hot take. But have we gone away from what tourist sauce was? These last 2 seasons, covid of course had a hand in this, have had no city/town intercourse. These have turned into giant crash course videos when the true fun was seeing the guys get into the weeds. Scotland there was a 10 minute section on a bar owner who had late night putting games. That’s just one example. These are just golf videos now. Still good content but they’re crash course extras.
It's funny you say that, I was thinking this episode finally showcased the golf more, and rightfully so given the quality of the match that was there. I've been seeing the production value of these video increase exponentially over time but have still been wanting to see more of the play in the earlier episodes of this tourist sauce and the last strapped despite it still being great material. I think I'm drawn to the material by their group dynamic when golfing. With that said, early Tourist Sauces did seem to have the perfect mix of both, and I'm sure that's helped through international travel as well. I'm sure they work with the formula though, I've always thought 88k subscribers seems way too low for the quality of the material.

The coverage of Tron’s putt on the 20th hole with Neil’s live reaction (31:23) is how every game deciding putt should be covered on tour
It hits different in match play, but I agree.
Neil, great match. I was going to let Willy Watson know how you played on his course, but can't find his Twitter handle.
We have a winner. Email proshop@nolayingup.com to claim your Precision Pro Rangefinder.
HAHAHAHAHH
“I found the driver” walking off 18 tee. Three holes later “same fucking thing as earlier.”
Randy’s comment from the back ground on TC and Neil still being brothers afterward, “What if he wasn’t though?” 😂🤣😂
Even though Neil might be practicing edging with his facial hair, I'm thrilled that he was able to reach completion against TC!
*Starts Video*
Neil makes a biblical reference.
*Us Icarito Fans: "I am ready to be hurt again."
Pope has now declared Nov. 24 as the Feast of the Intercession of St. Rappeo
DJ and the production crew kill it again, I was waiting for the strapped music over Neil's shot from 16 on in
It's haunting. It gets you tense knowing it could start playing any shot from hole 12 and on.
Icarito flew close to the sun today, but luckily kept his wings
I came here for Mapped, that series where two of you on a limited budget travel the lesser explored U.S. locales in search for affordable cartography? Tourist Sauce will certainly do though.
Never been so emotionally invested in a non tv golf match. Tremendous stuff boys.
I was in a constant panic attack the whole match just waiting for DJ to hurt me again with that Icarito anthem.
What a ride!
Asking for TC’s ball on 17 to “go in!” And the camera cut to it being 30 feet away was great.
This was a masterpiece. The tension throughout as a long time NLU fan. Classic face trying to get over the long time heel. Nearly leapt out my seat when Neil stiffed it from the opposite fairway. A turning point. A statement.
Put that one in the NLU All-Time Classics along with the DJ taking down Soly in the “Press” match
Tron if it’s any consolation you’re a shoe in for the Nicklaus-Jacklin Award *presented by AON*
Hearing Neil say "oh no" and the music start playing is one of the most jarring experiences one can have
DJ opting to use the pounding of my own heart in my ears as the soundtrack for holes 17-20 of that match was unexpectedly the best editing choice he has ever made.
Man what a great match. The editing really built the tension. Congrats to Neil on the win and making to the championship round! Even more congrats to TC for being crowned Mr. Belvedere for completely sitting on his balls during the playoffs! A great honor in it's own right 🎉
You guys are literally outdoing yourselves this year. Love this episode. Such a chill vibe.
Well done Neil. Attacking that classic Willy with your facial edging. Pleasurable result!
Thats some of the best golf content ive ever seen on youtube.
With Neil’s victory, I can now start referring to Tron as “Neil’s Brother” in the NLU recaps I give my wife that she never asked for.
My girlfriend just asked why they don’t go by their real names hahaha
@@jeffreygignac1270 just guys being dudes.
Watched this video with my pops Wednesday night, made my first ace Thanksgiving morning! Tourist sauce with the good juju!
That first beat that played as the leave the house was ** chef’s kiss **
Great match and brotherly love at the end of the match is what golf is all about. I also like the expletives left in which is also golf.
Neil's "Did that go right?" in extra holes had whiffs of Bryson's "I hit that perfectly".
Neil's statement look had a real substitute teacher/JV coach vibe, but his grind and process were pure varsity level. Well done, Icarito!
Best episode of the the Michigan series. Love the battle of the brothers, and really enjoyed seeing more golf in this one. Thanks guys!
absolutely on the mt rushmore of NLU matches. holy shit that was entertaining
A masterpiece. Thank you.
With Neil's bunker play on this trip along with the tuned facial hair, the Spanish comparisons are imminent.
Spoiler alert…when Neil goes long on 17 and DJ Pie doesn’t cue the music, you know that on this day Icarito’s wings do not melt.
"I'm deeply uncomfortable about what I'm going to hit off the tee." - DJ, speaking directly at my soul.
Best episode so far! Great stuff boys!
Played here last June. Excited to see the video. What a diamond of a course in the middle of nowhere!
Officially my favorite episode. 💪🏻 Icarito!
Great match! Playing just the tip with that Fisher's Island logo. Had me waiting the whole episode for Neil's reaction.
TC a warrior for battling through that pinky owie
That is some of the best golf content out there! Killer editing by DJ and the crew. What a great match... I legit swore out loud when Neil missed that birdie putt to win on the 19th
Def one of my favorites to have watched. 💪🏌♂️
Neil shouting “down, down, down” after every approach shot, the ultimate brand activation for Rapsodo and Precision Pro
I don’t even fucking golf and I can’t stop watching this channel.
Icarito just sending me through a roller coaster of emotions.
Fabulous.
Ambient breathing having a moment...
every time Neil's ball starts left of the pin, the sphincter tightens up a bit #nukeyboy
I've been rooting for Neil since I've subbed to this channel. Keep up the amazing content gentlemen!!!
Little disappointed that we aren't getting a rivalry trophy for Neil/TC in honor of rivalry week.
Loved the whole vid but it really paid off at the end hearing that Big Randy owned not one but two Saturns. Of course he did.
Really great editing in this episode. Kept the story but it moved at a great pace. Keep it up
Might be my fav TS ep ever. Awesome
Wow, what a match. That was thrilling.
Enjoyed this a lot. That was such a tense and thrilling fight 👍
Maybe one of the best Verne impressions I’ve seen out of TC
Randy's commentary on Soly chipping in had the same level of excitement as Joe Buck calling David Tyree's helmet catch
Thank you, NLU.
Such a great battle, awesome vid NLU team, loving this season and weaving the story into the round. Getting the golf trip itch!
Merch Zhar V TC…What a match!!
Poetry in motion. Loved every second of it!
Epic! I was in Neil’s camp, but I hated to see TC lose it like that. That playoff putt was crazy.
def gonna have to look for that on that on the wall now at Knot Just a Bar! great Boyne area spot!
The big guys big bird dance had big big baby giraffe takings its first steps vibes.
Great match ... it had all the jitters one can have in a round. Nice. Stay metal dudes, Eric. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
DJ’s choice of silence was deafening toward the end of that match. Shoutout to The Sound of Metal
That was worth my time.
I can relate to having epic and tense matches vs my older brother. Took me years to finally beat him. Many mental hurdles and scar tissue of faltering down the stretch to overcome. Happy for Neil to get the W
DJ looking like the love child of Elton John and the grandpa from Up at 8:02, respect.
What a battle!
One brother misjudges an ODG interview question by 75 years, the other a 70 yard approach shot by two clubs, but only one asks where the wind is. The other is the champ.... great match.
Soly’s face when Tron makes the putt on 20. Ice cold killer...
Lovely show☘️☘️☘️
Big fan of Neil trying to get around calling himself & TC Killers in that Cain and Abel reference.
Would really love to get the f-15 ball (14:51?) in the bag. It's the Sweet Baby Ray's of sauce. Not really what you want, but also exactly what you want.
Really enjoyed this one!
Great content and edits! Keep more videos coming! Love it ❤️
Great match boys!
good stuff guys

Always an uplifting watch, year of the Schuster?

WHAT A MATCH
Neil with the Hulkamania vibes this episode. Needed to hear a “Let me tell you something, brother” in the post round.
Neil looking like the neighbor in Office Space. Gotta like his chances.
Neil "Two Chicks At The Same Time" Schuster
If Tron's hairline goes any further back it'll need a Precision Pro sponsorship
Tourists pureed always makes for great sauce. Just remember to strip them of their knit sweaters and golf shoes first, or they'll jam up the blades in your blender.
Thanks

Best course
I root for Neil so much in these matches ✊👊
Reading the expressions at the table i was sure Neil had lost! Think the match must have taken a lot out of him!!
Pretty sure he got hammered at the afternoon 9 at the lakefront course ... needed to take the edge off the tension from that stressful match.
I was right there with you. Pretty sure TC had pulled it out.
Very well edited!
Neil can we get some lower profile visors in the pro shop? I don’t have the face shape to pull off the massive headband.
Rooting for the merch czar, but ya’ll are sponsored by prediction pro, how does Neil not know his distances?! Can’t go long on 17 and 18!!
"It usually puts me in a good mood when I wake up in the morning and look like a moron" is the quote of the series!
Neil’s pitching wedge on the 20th hole won that match, unreal
Kane is Able!

Am I wrong?
I think that’s fair, I enjoy the journey as much as the destination. That being said this match deserved to get more airtime, it was a classic
Totally agree. I still really enjoy the videos but the early seasons of Strapped and Tourist Sauce have the most character.
It's funny you say that, I was thinking this episode finally showcased the golf more, and rightfully so given the quality of the match that was there.
