What i like about Endo, beyond his break up play, is his ability to move the ball quick. Everytime he receives receives the ball, he already knows what he wants to do next. This is an underrated trait as it helps the team progress the ball quickly while breaking the opposition's press

His eye for a line breaking pass is severely underrated. He is a departure from Fabinho in terms of style but he's so effective in creating direct attacking situations with his passing, I think the change benefits the midfield. He will be missed while he's away captaining Japan. Fantastic player.

Every great team needs a water-carrier and fire-extinguisher in midfield, who isnt flashy and never tries to do too much by himself, but helps all of his teammates to find more space and opportunity.
Endo is the Erling Haaland of that type of player -- and always has been. He certainly wasnt selected captain for both Stuttgart and Japan based on his good looks or his command of German. Liverpool got the bargain of the century when they signed him
It's really the simple passes. Trent makes those crazy long field passes, but Endo makes the calm easy pass right through the lines and sets up a great opportunity. What a player. He's going to be a cult hero.
Liverpool's player of the season for me. We struggled early of the season because he was not integrating properly with the team. But now that he's the main engine, everything's click. Sadly we only got the best of him for a couple of years only. Wish he joined us in his mid 20s.
I still remember some of Liverpool fans said he is not good enough when he just started. But now he becomes an important part in the midfield.👍

He got some good praise from the media when he was with Stuttgart though, also captained Stuttgart. For ones who follow Bundesliga, he wasn't very underrated. He got well regonised before.
Endo no-nonsense attitude and fast release of the ball have sped up the attack and reduced pressure on our defense line. Very high football IQ.
He is the real number 6 we need at the moment. Glad we can get him this season.

@@sanseijedi Yeah. It took some time for me to appreciate just how good he is at what he does. He breaks up potential counters and uses the ball really well. He's also technically great: I like the way he almost passes the ball into or toward the goal when he shoots. Actually, he does the job I thought MacAlister was going to do. My opinion is that, of those two, Endo has lived up to his price tag better than Mac although Mac is probably a classier player all round when he is on his game.

To have a strong attack, one must have a good defence. ENDO helps our back four and strengthens the midfield. Turning defense into attack. His importance is overlooked because he is simple, gets things done, and little flares kind of player. But sometimes that's all you need in the team. Flare should be left for the more attacking minded players. I am so chuffed we have an experienced and high IQ player like him instead of hyped and expensive ones.

Aerial ability is more about timing than height. Just like how Jota wins headers although he's same height as Endo

Wataru is tough. He is rarely injured. His mentality is top-notch and he does his job in silence. And he is a good family man. This family includes LFC. Just trust him.

Some of us aren't surprised at all. I watch the Bundesliga, but you didn't need to watch it to know he was very good. Ffs, the World Cup showed that just over a year ago. Delighted for him. Everyone in the Bundesliga had nothing but positive things to say about him. Unlike say, Warner who many Liverpool fans were screaming for.

Ask them to define "elite" and they can't even define it. To some, "elite dm" means someone who is 22 and who was bought for top dollar. If we had such a player come in and was doing even less than what Endo does, you would have seen the same fans heaping praises on him and calling him "elite dm."
