Wondered what kind of pants you wore as they looked well made. We have a Duluth store here in Jacksonville so I drove up there this weekend and tried on a pair of HardGear pants and left with three pair. Love them!
The Alaskan hard gear is my favorite brand at Duluth. Great pants, shirts, undies and socks 😄 I shop thier clearance section on line for great deals. Plus you can find promo codes on line to use before you buy. Double savings. I'll do an update on some of the items I scored soon.
What boots do you like better? Franks or nicks? I’m looking more into franks for my first handmade pair I like the fact franks wants like 6 dif measurements of your foot compared to nicks 1 width measurement and the fact franks has more options for customizing
I feel like a double cap is mostly just decorative? Every boot I have wore (except when I was laying paving stones) cracked in the same place. Just ahead of the upper by the toe joint, well before the end of the toe wore a hole. Do you see a functional benefit of a toe cap?
Not really other then protecting the toe from wearing down. Normally I'll wear the toe out on other boots ive owned. That's why I get it. Plus it looks cool lol so yeah it's 90% looks and 10% function
Nice video. Hopefully they break into a glove like fit, and don't feel too tight after break in. And make videos. Content is good. Look at wranglerstar, that dude basically films his entire life lol.
@@NomadicINK I'm in need of new boots and would like to try something different. I have always used Caterpillar boots, they are very good but would like to try something new. My local store has keen and some other brands. Thanks for the reply 👍
@@mrgreen3109 Try it for yourself, but I wasn’t a big fan of the keen. Lasted less than 6 months until they were completely done. I transitioned to Irish setter Ramsey 2.0 but have my nicks pair ordered now. Irish setter is still going after a year, but not looking too sharp.
@@mrgreen3109 I’ve been wearing thorogoods for many years now and during the summer I was working for a entertainment/rigging company could wear shorts so I got some Keens low top w safety toe style. Could of been the combo of smart wool socks with it but they got the funkiest smell I’ve ever had in a shoe. Something my leather boots or just regular shoes have never gotten. I’m talking funky as hell lol. I had to wash them in the machine it would get so bad and wore them for like 2 months and chucked them.
Those are some damn good looking boots.

You do a nice job with your videos. Cool bird!
Are these a 67 Last like your Franks? Or the 55?
Love the update!

I love Nick's boots just wish these high end boot company's had a better sole choice the vibrams wear out way to fast
I have a question. Have you ever used Keen Boots??
No I haven't. They sell them at Frank's but I haven't even tried on a pair to be honest
