      Adrian Octavio you’re wrong. Average lifespan for hunter gatherers was only so short because it was skewed by high infant mortality. If they made it past infancy, then they would often go on to live just as long as we do in the developed world, while being much healthier. There is a lot of anthropological research on this. Look it up and stop being ignorant. To think our ancestors regularly would die at or before 30 is just silly.

    -Cut out junk food (the unnecessary sugars)
    -Walk every day
    -16hrs intermittent fasting (skip breakfast)

    • @robmichael8136
      @robmichael8136 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Yeah man. It's actually unhealthy to eat 4 hours before bed during digestion anyways. Most days have a healthy dinner, don't eat before bed. When you wake up feel free to have sugar and carb free coffee, tea, energy drink, etc, skip breakfast and eat a meal or two in a 4 to 8 hour window. If you have a healthy low carb/sugar lunch and dinner fasting is a breeze.
      4 hour fast after dinner, 8 hour good night's sleep, then eat 4 hours after getting up and you're good to go. It's easy after you adjust and your stomach shrinks.
      I'm on ketomwoth intermittent fasting right now and I'm down from 202 to 184 in 2 and a half weeks. Good luck. Thomas Delauer and Eric Berg would be beneficial to youtube.

I fasted on water for 3 days. Here’s what happened: I wasn’t hungry at all after about 6:00 PM on day 1. So the hunger goes away. Day 2 my brain fog completely went away and I felt like a freaking genius. I actually looked for opportunities to talk to people because I’ve felt brain dead for so long. Day 3 I noticed the weight loss and an energy boost. I almost kept going, I felt so great. So now I fast 2 days a week just to maintain that energy level and combat the severe brain fog. It’s worth a shot, folks. I think what we’re eating is messing us up.

      and improves insulin sensitivity in those people that are resistant. You might not have any issues with this so it might seem the same to you but
      for a lot of people when they eat food they spike thier insulin 4-5x as high as others. Fasting corrects this. So OMAD can really help those people
      with those issues.

    I did a 36 day water fast in 2021. My goal was to go for 40 days. I only quit, because I contracted Covid-19, and had the absolute worst nausea that I’ve ever had in my life. I sipped chicken bone broth, which, unfortunately broke my water fast. I did learn quite a bit though, even though I didn’t make it to 40 days, water fasting. My weight at the start was 286.8 pounds. 7 days later, I weighed myself, and the scale read, 264lbs, a total of 22.8lbs lost in a week! Probably 17-18lbs was water loss, then probably 4-5lbs fat, then the last tiny amount of weight, was muscle. I felt incredible! Also, I finally achieved the, “No more hunger zone”, as I put it. The only thing I’d do from time to time, was take a pinch of, “Real Salt”, for some salt and other essential trace minerals. I only had water, no coffee, tea, nothing else. I took blood readings, twice per day, morning and evening, for glucose and keytone levels. It was interesting, my blood glucose stayed between, 95 an 64 and after about the fifth day my blood keystones, by day 7 of my water fast, were 4.1! I was in serious fat burning mode! My keystones were always over 4 and one time went as high as, 6.9! My final weight-in on day 36: 237.4lbs. A total weight loss, of 49.4lbs, an average daily weight loss, of 1.37lbs per day. Had I not gotten stricken badly with Covid-19, I know I could have continued for 80 total days, with only water. If my weight loss average was consistent, in 80 days, I would have lost 109.6lbs and weighed my healthy weight, of 177.2lbs. Look up the TH-camr: “Fasting Fat Man.” This guy will amaze you! Peace.

      GEORGE.W. BIATCH. "Genetics" has very little to do with it. Show me those fat people from 100 years ago... Protip, you can't. Genetics will determine metabolism. But the body when in a fasted/starvation state will cling on to body fat. Multiple small meals a day will lean a person out incredibly fast. Because the metabolism goes through the roof

    • @AFRIKTODAY
      @AFRIKTODAY 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I disagree! Genetics does play a role in my opinion. 100 years ago, people did not eat multiple small meals a day. They were lucky to eat one big meal, if that. You are countering your own assertion.
      The over-eating epidemic is directly correlated with obesity, and that is a fairly recent phenomenon in human history. So, yes, there are people in fairly advanced society that are more or less likely to be prone to become obese because of their genetics. You put 2 fat individuals together and you get a fat baby; add a few McDonald and Burger King on every street corners and you get a fat town!
      Intermittent fasting has produced great results for total body fat loss and no, it is not a fad but rather a realignment with they way Man has been sustaining himself for most of Human Evolution.

So far, I haven't got any long ass headache that won't gone until I sleep. My negativity just went down, I feel like I just wanna live positive and healthy. My life before OMAD was disorganized, depressed, stuck in a rut, miserable, pretty much feel like literal shit. Now it's starting to get better. I have a feeling that I probably gonna be end up diabetic anyway, if I continue to live like I used to. So, might as well doing OMAD the rest of my life than injecting insulin to my body every single day. Phew, can't imagine me doing that shit.

      Yes people who don’t understand intermittent fasting and don’t bother to look into the subject do see it like it’s such a bad thing. Like they think humans have always been eating for every hour of their waking day since the beginning of time. I had one friend who told me it would ruin my metabolism. Well 2 years on I am in good shape and intermittent fasting is now a way of life and seems so natural to me. My weight has been stable since I lost the weight I needed, I have freedom to eat what I like without fear of gaining the weight back. That friend is still around 100lb over weight and has been on and off ‘diets’.
      Edit: When I said intermittent fasting I just meant fasting in general.

    I fast a lot for spiritual reasons. But I'll just add. When you do develop into a normal routine of fasting. It becomes easy to do. As in, you get hungry WAY less often because it seems that you have trained your body to be able to handle taking in food less regularly and so it is used to it. So when you do feel hungry the feeling is way more easy to manage and it isn't a major burden anymore.
    Just like everything, it takes training and practice. Over time it's really nice. Especially spiritually, its the perfect way to let your ego die, don't ask me why or how.. It just works.

    My brother fainted in the shower on his 5th day of fasting, he hit his head and was completely knocked out, his face covered the bathtub drain plug so it overfilled with water. Thankfully his girlfriend heard his body collapse in the bathtub, it took her a few terrifying minutes to unlock the door with a hanger. Paramedics came, he was rushed to the ER where he had 7 staples to close his head wound, huge concussion, his potassium levels were dangerously low, and when the doctor asked him when was his last meal my brother said 5 days prior. The next day the doctors signed an emergency certificate and transported him to get a mental health evaluation, there he had a huge argument about his rights and they forcefully made him take sedative drugs, he pushed a therapist and was tranquilized like an animal! He was confined for 2 months, forced fed, given hundreds of pills, and when he was finally released I asked him how he felt. He said he was Hangry. I would of taken him to McDonald's but I was broke since I was fired for getting arrested trying to break my brother out of the nut house, so my brother and I decided to rob the doctor that forced him into the crazy house. Big mistake. The doctor had a gun in his car. He shot me, my brother, and turned the gun on himself. Now the three of us are ghosts and we haunt the fitness department in Walmart while eating flaming hot cheetos, microwavable chicken nuggets, and gummy bears. My brother is now a fat ass ghost. His girlfriend is now a lesbian. My dog fasted to death since I died and nobody fed him. My dog is heaven with Tupac playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time til the end of time eating gummy bears.

    As you get older your digestive system takes longer to digest and your capability to workout as vigorously and often as you did when you were younger also declines so in my opinion fasting serves to offset the negative consequences of having a slower digestive system and working out less vigorously.

Worst medical advise I've ever been given. Taking that approach turned my mind to mush and led me to do terribly in high school. Eating a massive breakfast spiked my blood sugar for several hours regardless of how much insulin I was doing(look up dawn phenomenon). With consistently high blood sugar you can't focus, think or function properly plus you get REALLY moody! At 27, Intermittent fasting has saved my life the past few months. Im 53- been water fasting since I was 23--- people thought I was crazy - especially my Italian mom. Lol People say I look in my early 30's. Im fasting right now - 4th day of water only.
      Whenever I see signs of aging I stop eating and it reverses everything🎉

      Youth is not simply photographic looks ( with no filters) Its also physical strength, agility, energy levels, voice, body movement mannerisms, mental attitudes and a lust for life-- that knocks off another 10 in person 😂😉Cheers

    Good conversation. I remember being overweight from age 7 to 13. I fasted basically to lose the weight. Only ate 800 calories a day and noticed huge energy spikes, more power and became sharper like the doctor mentioned in this video. I was always better than others at sports or academics just because of how my engine ran. I believe fasting and eating one meal a day was big time for my success. Still to this day I fast normally at least 24 hours then eat and repeat.

      @@AnmolMishra946 you underestimate the real power of eating big portions. I eat, what i used to eat spread out, in ONE BIG MEAL at night and it is not even hard, i enjoy it so much more.

    I'm not down with fasting yet: but I gave up drinking beer for 2 weeks and I can't believe how much sharper I felt. I don't get tired and I feel sharper all the time. It only took me like 45 years to figure it out but hey we all have to start somewhere. It's been about a year and I will drink socially but other than that I don't drink at home.

    I totally get the freedom from food that he is talking about. I'v been on Keto and fasting 16/8 for 7 monts now, and I don't feel the stress from having to eat at a certain time anymore. If I have to skip a meal and prolong my fast to a 20/4 I don't stress, I'm not even hungry.
