I’m surprised people are surprised. Even if you look at engines, Dodge had to increase the power of the Hemi when the Toyota 5.7 came out because it was a stronger engine by 50 horse and a good amount of torque. The increase to the Hemi wasn’t real though…. The extra 60 or so horsepower was simply in the literature they put out.
It went from 345hp/375lb/ft to 395/410. All because the Tundra had 381/401. The problem was again, it was paper power to sell trucks. When you face em off you get this result. Every time.
Toyota would snatch the bumper of then.

The heavier vehicle will always win in a traction battle. If you did this same test on dry pavement the truck will win every time. Same rule applies if you put sand bags in the bed of the truck seen in this video.
