Moods - Moods (1978)

groovy synthful soulful 70s funk/r&b
very obscure little one-off record from late 70's r&b group Moods, whos members (according to discogs) are Clifton Phillips, Melvin Turnage, Rufus Young, and William Carter. melvin in particular (hailing from st louis) seemed to be a somewhat prolific songwriter at the time; he's credited on a couple of funk 7"s through the 70s and has a webpage for his band which i'll link below. i'd guess that, because none of the other members of Moods really have any credits to their name, melvin put the band together himself just to record an albums worth of songs he had written & it just didn't really go anywhere. really good stuff though!
