Hello! I was worried after taking an 8 month sabatical I'd struggle to come back with gusto as it were. Turth is, I've really enjoyed the work and the reseach behind this and the previous video. It honestly feels wonderful to be back. As always, many thanks for your continued support. Cheers!
@@SilvertongueRED That is very kind. Patreon is something we would consider, and yet not for a little while. For now, we are looking at keeping a regular cadence of content so TH-cam hopefully remembers us again. Really enjoying all of this again which is the main thing.
Always excited to see your videos! You've been my go-to channel for indie releases for the last few years. Definitely played a great deal more of them thanks to these rundowns.
Hadn't seen Children of the Sun before. That looks like a pretty interesting concept. My most anticipated, or some that seem to have a lot of potential (roughly in order): Pepper Grinder The Plucky Squire SCHiM TRASHER Sword of the Sea The Spirit of the Samurai Hades II Öooo (The next game from ElecHead designer NamaTakahashi) UVSU (A fleshed out gamejam idea from dietzribi) IKARO: Will Not Die (simply because it's the successor to Velocity) Gori: Cuddly Carnage Bionic Bay Rootown Phonopolis Symphonia GREENFIELD (a wildcard with Playdead vibes in terms of atmosphere) PaperKlay (for its Tearaway and Media Molecule vibes) and many more...
Wow, you won’t believe how much had missed this kind of videos from you. The way you explain the games, makes me want to play all of them. You are my Indie Games Compass. Thank you so much!
Man I've missed your videos! Sabbaticals are needed for sure but I cant lie when I say I'm so happy to have you back! Even sporadic videos I get suuuper hyped! Welcome back! You've been missed
Hello! That’s very kind of you. We have the space in our days now for a weekly video. We’re thinking a Wednesday at 8am PT / 11 am ET / 4pm UK will work for us. Hope you are keeping well. Cheers!
@@GetIndieGaming That's great! I can tell you now - no matter when you and the Get Indie Gaming team decides to post I will always be ready to watch!! So happy I came across your content many many months ago (Thank you YT Algorithm LOL)
I've been looking forward to Abiotic Factor. Looks like a nice cross between Half-life and a survival crafter. Fay's Factory also looks interesting. So does Selaco and the sequel to one of my favorite games Streets of Rogue 2,
Not sure how many of these have announced 2024 launch dates but those don't mean much anyway a lot of the time: Earthblade, Mina the Hollower, Hades 2 (early access, at least), Nine Sols, Antonblast, Replaced, Gurei, Emberbane, Crowsworn, Mariachi Legends, and (of course) Silksong
I'm glad to see you're back! I missed your videos because they're really helpful and have a nice cosy feeling. Also, I don't really keep up with the news about game releases as much as I used to - especially with so many coming out but also because I feel like many games don't get me excited like in the past so I would have no idea about most of these games which do indeed look really fun and unique. Kinda off topic, but I don't think I've played a game that released after 2021 (not counting DLC or updates). I still play almost everyday but mostly old/older or more recent titles up to 2020-2021 on both PC and console so your videos on new indie games might finally change this. I've recently been really enjoying and could recommend two games: GRIME (soulslike metroidvania with a cool concept of you absorbing enemies which got its last free DLC two weeks ago and with a sequel in the making) and The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk (an XCOM-like game - this one might be my first one in the genre - based on and old French audio series with lots of adult humour and political incorrectness which is something you don't get often in video games (or at all nowadays) and that isn't everyone's cup of tea but which is nice to see once in a while at least for me). Back to the topic, I'm definitely excited for and will add many of these games to my wishlist and I hope that I'll play one of them this year instead of couple of years down the line. Thanks for the video and I hope you'll keep making and enjoy making more of them!
A "Paranormal cycling adventure"?!! If that doesn't spark intrigue, then nothing will, haha! That was worth a like purely on it's own merit! Thanks GIG for a new vid so soon 👍☺️
@GetIndieGaming yes, I'm so glad to hear that. Hope it all goes well. Plus thank goodness you're here looks like the town live in. I now want to play it
First time to the channel, I really enjoyed your video! I'm especially looking forward to Animal Well and Silksong. As far as releases not on the video, Ender Magnolia and Deltarune are top of the list. I think the chances of at least getting another chapter by the end of the year for Deltarune are high.
Two I am looking forward to are Pacific Drive and Terra Memoria both have demos on steam and are SO much fun! Pacific Drive is a survival adventure game where you are trying to navigate a supernatural exclusion zone and the only thing to help you is your 1980s station wagon that you have to fix and upgrade throughout your journey. I really love the car upkeep and the vibe feels sort of like tales from the loop by Simon Stålenhag. Terra Memoria is a turn based RPG with a story that will take you on an adventure with 6 new friends as you find out what has cause the magic crystal shortage and why ancient robots have come back to life. One of my favourite things about Terra is that depending on the move you select with dictate when your turn will happen so more powerful attacks will land you farther in the queue than weaker ones so you have to balance what your going to use when. The world is also a very cozy place to explore. (Sorry this is a bit of a rant i'm just excited for so many good games this year haha)
4:45 - is right around the time my eyeballs popped out of my head, as the excitement of FINALLY getting a Dead Static Drive update/release info was just too much to handle! Fast forward to 5:00 - the realization hits that there is no update, but having not yet recovered from the initial excitement, my eyeballs got right back to work with the usual routine… an evening of secreting tears, hoping the day will come where we do get an update 😭
As ever, a great eclectic selection. Cataclismo has a beautiful aesthetic, but Ghost Bike is a stand out I hadn't seen before and will most likely be a day one purchase.
Always enjoy these, cheers! Chucked Cart Life, Hermit & Pig and Thank Goodness You're Here on the wishlist. And into the growing pool of Comment Section's Picks I'll add Rift of the Necrodancer, hyped for that one!
Thank you for sharing this list!! Harold Halibut released their demo recently which I personally have been waiting for since when it was first announced as an effort, and I THINK it’s supposed to drop this year. The demo was great and just beware that it’s very large in size. I think most likely because the company handmade everything and used video/image sequence files. Really excited to play the final version of that though.
Lots of fresh finds from your vid. Amazing! Apart from what's shown here, I'm also very anticipated on Isle of Sea And Sky (Zelda-like open world sokoban), Earthblade, maybe new Deltarune Chapters, and The Plucky Squire - really good-looking game with previously main design guy of Pokemon in it.
My taste are exactly aligned with your suggestions! Great job and, really hope to see more quality vids from you! For my part, I would add 2 games to the list, including Prim and (hopefully) The Drifter. ✌
Thanks for the heads up on some great indies hopefully coming this year. Always been a big Devolver fan, and I think Children of the Sun looks wonderfully unique

The indie games are what’s keeping the gaming industry afloat, low key
Not even low key anymore. Only games worth playing almost. Few AAA sneak in like elden ring or tears of the kingdom
