Soooo....I was excitedly saying YES when Stephanie was saying NO to the highlighter that underlines. Maybe I'm into stationery a little more than I thought.
I like the idea of the EDC pen. If you're out of ink you can grab whatever random garbage is in the supply cabinet at work to get you through.
As someone who got like. 7 or 8 of the multi pen bodies from uni and proceeded to color code them, i personally think the multi-8 isnt extra ENOUGH (though i would definitely use a different combination of leads and inks)

As someone who is constantly in pain due to the that edge on micron pen grips, I can appreciate the sleeve! I need one ASAP
Why can't they just make the pen more comfortable for everyone? I use all the sizes, but I can't get holders for all of them. 🤨
Stephanie's videos are always entertaining, and her diction and timbre are great.
I use the multi pen! its great for going over blueprints with the different colors to help separate things into groups, and using the non photo copy lead so i don't need to worry about it when taking notes on them if we have to get a quick copy for the floor
I'm a High School music teacher and I use the Super 8. I use it for marking my musical scores on the go and color coding things as part of my score preparation. I used to use colored pencils...but then I'd have an entire box of colored pencils in my bag all the time. This covers everything for me and gives me options.
I've definitely noticed the rattling! And the thought of a highlighter that underlines just makes me happy, i don't know why.

it's my bag pen!! i don't use everything at the same time, i keep it with me in case i need any one (1) thing (usually a ballpoint, i don't like ballpoints so i don't want them if they're not Extra TM).
it's also my color doodler, i don't usually draw in colors but sometimes i need an accent. (i haven't swapped out the colors yet, but when i do i foresee so much monotone doodling in my future 🥰)
tl;dr it's my swiss army knife!! it's there for me when i'm too lazy to grab something better :P

In my previous position I was managing the materials and staffing for 5 different lab classes, and 14 individual lab sections a semester. 27 student employees. 14 sets of glassware lockers. I was also purchasing items and had to maintain 7 years of purchasing records, organized by month that the final item was received. And I was purchasing from 5 different accounts. Color coding was the only thing that kept me organized enough to maintain control over the chaos.
I would have considered taking a pay cut if they offered me that pen!!!
That super multi-8 would make D&D notes SO MUCH EASIER TO WRITE! Especially when i need to challenge the DM verdict with a previous verdict that worked in my favor! I'm the player that asks NPC's names and races.

I use my Multi 8 pen on a daily basis. I have the yellow one (with a clear body) and I filled it with 7 colors plus a 2B lead (I took the metal thing of another lead and pushed it onto my favorite 2mm pencil lead) - I use it for sketching and I love the form factor. Usually I don't like big pens, but this one is so well balanced and comfortable to hold!

(I live in Brazil, our mechanical pencils are not very crazily engineered), I just saw at the stationary store a Faber Castell mechanical pencil that releases the lead in 3 different ways!? I've only seen videos here about the ones that release the lead by shaking, but that one you can shake it, and it has one button at the top and one at the side! Like who needs these? 3 WAYS??? 2 BUTTONS?? WHYYY?
Ok…as a person who finds the need to have an insane amount of stationery, recoils in horror at being handed a cheap ballpoint to fill out a form, and has a pile of stickers for every potential non-need in life…this is just too much. Why does a Micron need a protective metal case (or the pencil)…and as I type this, I am remembering that if any pens I own are left within reach of one of our dogs…it will be eaten…and only on the nice rug (which is no longer so nice…water based ink doesn’t equal non-staining…thus, why I cannot have nice things. So, maybe I need armor for my pens…except I wouldn’t want to give up my comfy grips.)

The multipens are so 70s and 80s. My grandparents had a bunch of them when I was a kid. I can't believe they came back.

I would really like the Sakura Pigma Micron holders - that is, if I even use my drawing pens all that much 😅
I found the Blens in a local store-- they're amazing! You know how a nice firm pencil won't have any moving parts to rattle? This, but a sturdy, grippy pen. The ink is so effortless it feels like writing with a fineliner marker, but the durability of a ballpoint! I have a 3x.5 multipen with my bujo, snd the 1x.7 is such a nice, smooth writer fir longer journaling when i get ifeas and need to write fast without creasing the paper. すげえ, even!!
I also bet the supermultipen would be awesome for comic artists. No photo blue for undersketches, inks for extra confidence. A colored lead like purple or brown would be nice for watercolor sketches, with blues or reds for tinting. If it could fit a Blen or Frixion refill I may carry that instead of a small purse in my big purse.
I legit use the multi 8 lead holder for scripture marking hahahaha that thing is out of this world

Extra. Hmmmmmmm.... I confess. Ive got the multi8, it's perfect for quickie plein air sketching and also for planning my garden and flower beds without carrying a bunch of tools. AND I shall get the new one as my designated gardening pen so the original can take permanent residence with the dog walking gear. That's not really extra, just specialization. I'd expect my surgeon to have more than a machete on his tool cart, after all. Same concept 😉.

ok, I don't use the SUPER MULTI-8, but I do use a Multi8 that has like.... 6 hilighter/neon pencil leads in them, and even though I don't use them all in one sitting, it IS nice to have them there. Y'know, in case I need to underline in different colors :3

Now that I have had time to think on it, not only do we need more rants like this, I feel like we need something akin to the packing videos that is "strangest wish lists" or odd/creative wish list titles - we have a max of 20 characters to name them, so you have to get creative sometimes. Or not - I'll bet someone out there has wish lists that are just a single letter or number as the title (no, none of mine are titled this way)
I really appreciate the well engineered pens and pencils that are firm in hand. Sometimes they can have excessive amounts of play in the nib, and then it feels too floppy to use properly. Tactile Feedback in pens is good, floppy not so much! 😉

The hypothetical answer for the 8 lead holder: When you use up to 12 different colors of fountain pen inks in your notes. I could do it with 3 basic colors but why not more when it helps you locate information much quicker and draw mindmaps with your favorite type of pens?

I don’t think I would use those exact refills but I love a multi pen + pencil combo and the idea of having non-repro blue in there as well would be great. I probably wouldn’t use it at my desk but being able to throw one pen in a handbag along with my TN as a drawing tool is great and it looks like you could make a good custom set up in it.
As someone who’s been very into note taking with pen & then highlighting with highlighter pencils - the Super 8 makes me drool. I already use a multi pen for color coding my ink, but now I don’t even need to switch & pick up my highlighter pencils separately either???

As far as the Pentel Multi, I bought one in Bangkok many years ago but it's too awesome to use, so usually it sits in a drawer. I have refills for it though!!

Second, I have large hands and the increased diameters of the barrels really reduces hand stress.
Lastly, I am a teacher of HS Chemistry and I can see myself using all of the 8 choices AT ONE SITTING especially with particle diagrams and chemical equations!!!!

I use multi-pens to break down my to do list into categories. If something has to give in my day, I know areas/types of tasks that have been completed and where some short cut or skipping can occur without making me so far behind tomorrow.

I can see the multi8 for going over budgets in spreadsheets; I use my coleto 4 at work (loaded with nonstandard colors) when I want to make sure the notations I make are distinct from the ones the other human makes (and we do print stuff out when it gets realllllllly weird). I do not believe i need an aluminum shell for my Micron, because I have multiple sizes in play when I use them (and I could buy more of them with the money) but YES it is cool looking. Have Josh do a rant next!
In RN school I would have loved to have that pen with all the different inks and different leads. Omg for notes and medication calculations and taking vitals and assessments what a dream 🥰💛 ... I could have done a different color for each patient! 😮

That pen with all the refills would be nice for an artist, we could carry it instead of a pencil case and use it for all sorts of drawings, or even all on the same drawing, graphite for sketching, colours for colouring, black ink for outlines and white for highlights, honestly all you need is a rubber added and you won’t need a pencil case ever again

I am getting the multi lead holder for my brother when he enters his design curriculum, because I did the same course and you are switching pens and colors so much for little explanatory sketches ! My desk was covered in different pens and pencils, and it was a big desk. My bag and art supplies box were so heavy it hurt and I refuse he lives the same thing. (I already got him a delguard, he was thrilled and it cut back on the amount of lead loss)
To me this multilead holder is very very obviously for designers 😅 I am a pro comic artist now and I don't use the same supplies at all
I like how the video includes pen sleeves that make pens burly and drawing a husky. I like my Zebra bLen ballpoint and gel pens and I do shake them sometimes to hear the sound of no hands clapping.

I am not a fan of multi pens but as I read some of the comments I am slowly leaning in the multi pen direction. Once I have an idea of what to use it/them for they will be in my shopping cart. I liked the idea from theemeralddragon9224 about having multi multi pens and color coding them. That sounds like something I would do.

I have the OG TiArto & the EDC and they are in my pocket more than any other pen. I usually run a 0.4 Hi-Tec C in one for note taking and a 0.7 G2 blue for signing stuff

Having colourful stationary is a nostalgic feeling for me, but I wonder if the younger generations are still writing in school, taking notes? Do they all use digital devices now?
I am in my 30s and I got myself a planner because it feels like it brings me back to a time when life was structured and I knew what would be happening in the next few weeks.

my hand span is a bit over 9 inches, so pens are usually tiny :) never gave sleeves a try though, since i mostly type and don't handwrite very often (yeah, i know it's bad). maybe those help me to do that more often.
