As an only child, I didn’t have to share. When I got to school, I learned sharing was caring. But as an adult, hell no I ain’t sharing my stationery esp my gel pens!!
I guess I’ll attempt to clarify the apostrophe s after order in the second meme (since all three of the reactors commented on it) as a sort of grammar nerd. It’s basically a contraction shortening ‘order has’ into ‘order’s’, so the full sentence would read out “That moment when the JetPens order has arrived…” I do agree that it would be simpler just to not have the apostrophe s but then the last word would be ‘arrives’ instead of ‘arrived’ so it would change the tense and when it says ‘arrived’ it implies that the order is already there but if it said ‘arrives’ that would mean it isn’t there yet. So anyway, there’s my explanation of why there’s an apostrophe s there. Thank you * bows *

Oh my god, my mom's work had this janitor named Hahn (or at least that's how it's pronounced?), one time she opened the supply closet and he was in there, but kept quiet, crept around the corner and spooked her by saying "SUPPLIES!", which he knew with his Vietnamese accent would sound like MAYBE he had said "surprise!", but you know it was on purpose to fatten the joke. I mean this guy looked at a picture of our family cat on my mom's desk and was like "Mmm-mmmMmm, look goooOOod, that good dinna!" to troll my mom. Dude was actually like reading Murakami and Pynchon on break and was just goofing on people non-stop because he had to be a janitor for whatever reason.
I really appreciate Miriam’s reaction with her affinity for pencils. The way she would actually close her eyes and imagine how it feels. I get you girl I get you. Also love the fact that Josh laughed at everything!
In my former office, we had drawers where you could lock away personal items, like wallets and bags. That's where I kept my pretty and personally purchased stationery, under lock and key. All the office stock items were on the desk in plain sight, nothing ever went missing from that bunch.
I get it when Mom made us use the Bic ballpens. So when I started working, I bought my own pretty pens and notebooks and other stuff I liked. Fast forward to when my kids were school-age. "No you can't use mommy's pencils/pens. Here's a (generic-brand) pencil/pen".
My scissors have that tendency to disappear into another plane of existence then back again into this reality and then when I look away for 5 minutes it's gone again. This is the reason why I keep it imprisoned in a cabinet or cupboard where it couldn't escape anymore.
I just ordered MORE stationery. And my daughter who is 10, loves your videos as well. She is currently visiting family and sent me a request to take her to Staples when she gets home for Pens. Jetpens is only for me.
My mom actually follows my stationary recommendations because she knows I know better and she notices the difference lol But my dad still needs to be enlightened...
Miriam’s reaction to the last meme is so me. I haven’t tried a Twsbi but I’ve got a Conklin Endura and in no way is it the same as a Bic. Even my Uni-ball Signo writes better than one of those.
Yes. My Twsbi has never failed to start. My Bics have never reliably started. I tried to like one that was in my desk at work, but it was so unreliable (starting and skipping) that I left it behind in a communal pen bucket to become someone else's problem. (I don't have the heart to throw away a pen unless it's actually empty or beyond saving. This was before I found JetPens' "how to revive a pen" video.) Don't know if someone managed to use it up or just threw it away when they couldn't get it to work.
I can relate to the meme where the parents don't understand the difference in pens. My parents just can't see why I spend hundreds of dollars on one pen. But it's beautiful, writes well, feels good, and is customizable. Thank you for sharing this video. I loved it. ❤

Don't feel bad. My first fountain pen was my precious baby but I was so excited to share the love that I lent it to a dude I worked with for a moment to sign something. He then immediately dropped it on the floor, totally destroying the tines 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Never again!
Yeah I need to get in the habit of carrying rinky dink pens with me because I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had to call somebody out for trying to walk off with my favorite gel pens. Also I am blessed with a mother who is also obsessed with stationary!
My parents use those 10 pack for one Euro ballpoint pens for decades - then my Jetpens order arrived with a bunch of gelpens. My dad took one of my 5 papermate inkjoy gel pens and tried it.Them I had only 4 left. But it was worth it. It’s now his holy grail pen because it writes so smooth. Even my mom was like „what?! There are pens where you don’t have to push hard on the paper to write???“ Well, now there’s only 3 left… (my parents are 79 and 80 and never wrote with a gel pen before)

There was one time where someone asked for a pencil and I said sure, and then I looked to see that my classmates just passed that same pencil all the way across the classroom. When anyone in the family buys art stuff or stationery stuff, I silently judge them, tell them to ask me first before they buy stuff, and still don’t want to share…
We needed to send our parents to class and make them speed write notes and use both sides of the paper. Then they will understand the importance of a reliable and comfortable pen that doesn't bleed through. 😅 In my high school chem class my nickname was Office Depot because I always had extra pens and other supplies but only the three people I was closest to in the class could borrow the pre-designated pens and pencils. I too suffered watching some girl go all untrained puppy on one of my pens and chew it. I took it back but it was umm, laid to rest in the garbage. I did use wooden pencils up until university because I just didn't trust mechanical pencils for scantrons. Nothing like a good old No. 2 pencil to fill in those bubbles.

This is why I have one fountain pen and one mechanical pencil in my pen case. So I don't need backups -> won't share anything 🤠

My friend had a mechanical pencil that had lead/graphite as thick as the ones in wooden pencils. You could also sharpen it. I found it so cool
