- RoboCop 3 is a 1993 American science fiction action film directed by Fred Dekker and written by Frank Miller & Fred Dekker.
Set in the near future in a dystopian metropolitan Detroit, Michigan, RoboCop 3 follows RoboCop (Robert John Burke) as he vows to avenge the death of his partner Anne Lewis (Nancy Allen) and tries to save Detroit from falling into chaos. It was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
Most of the buildings seen in the film were slated for demolition to make way for facilities for the 1996 Olympics. Nancy Allen, Robert DoQui, Felton Perry, Mario Machado, and Angie Bolling are the only cast members to appear in all three films.
i dont understand why ppl say robocop 3 is better than robocop 2 i disagree with that statement i agree with everything you said and it did seem like a made for tv series robocop comming to cbs heres the line up lol

Yea this movie sucks I say it doesn’t happen. I only watch the first 2 and the tv series. Then I made a fan film continuity of robocop vs terminator I edited with parts of the mortal kombat 11 game. Robocop 3 doesn’t exist in my fandom.
This movie was grade-A caca, even when I was 10. Saw this shitpile ONCE and never again.I remember actually playing Robocop 3 the game for SNES way before the actual movie came out. This was before the internet, so I thought maybe the game wasjust some 'game only' sequel. Never got past the first level due to how shitty the gameplay was. Shitty movie, shitty game.
Robocop 2 is so awesome. Robocop 3 is a laugh.

I never liked ROBOCOP III as well. It was a piece of crap big-time. By the way, I did like "The Monster Squad," too. It is a classic.

Agree, drug addicted killer robot was wayyy better than the ninja bots. To me samurai's are cooler than ninja's anyways (but that's a whole other thing). I haven't seen Robocop 3 in like 16 years, I plan on keeping it that way. Great review Matt.

Is he even allowed to have his gun that still LOOKS like a gun, in that remake? instead of some f..cking silly zap gun,
And finally how many police films tv series have used up the tired plot of gun running (there was even a Sci fi version, with Arnie, called ERASUR. before this.
Robocop 3 DIDNT DO THAT and it wasnt a sneaky remake of the First film, the way R. cop 2 was, we were back to social commenting issues, such as -Gentrification, homelessness & poverty, plus R . cop 3 also went back to Corporate fascism more often & was back to a faster action pace, instead .
it has its faults - too much going on (a bit like in a Steven Summer's film) & gimmicks (like flight) but it worked for me
I remember when they hyped Jurassic Park in 1993, I was 4 years old, but still remember it to this day. I had Robocop action figure in 1993.
yeah me 2 I remember having robocop and the ultra police toys by Kenner I wad like 5 at the time it had cap firing action the only problem y had to hold the toy to fire the thing lol
This SUCKED!!!!!!!Good Review and the Remake also sucks. Yeah, Orion's bankruptcy did delay release. Not many did it tank financially but it was panned savagely by critics and fans. It gained a 3% critic and 14% audience rating on RT.

I saw this stinker of a sequel in theatres when I was 8 along with my family and I hated it! I didn't like how the film turns out, hated when they killed off Murphy's partner and giving Robocop flying wings! The Ninja bots and the villain were really lame, too. Such as shame that Fred Dekker had to be involved in this after "Night of the Creeps" and "The Monster Squad". It was one of the worst sequels of the franchise, right up there with "Alien 3".

Trust me, don't watch it! The movie feels like it was made by an obnoxious immature 10 year old, that's how BAD this is lol!!! I couldn't believe my fucking eyes when I first saw this, how did this even get made?! It's worse than Exorcist 2 or Plan 9 From Outer Space! To me there never was a real "Robocop 3" just this fake ass fan fiction film and that's honestly what it feels like.
Truer words have never been spoken! Though despite the short-comings of this movie (of that there is a ton and more of), it's more violent and bloody than the recent remake..... how lame is that?!

I just rewatched this yesterday. I don't think this is that bad. The worst of the three, maybe. As bad as the remake? I don't get that comparison.
A watered down PG-13 rating and a little kid telling Ed-209 to be 'loyal as a puppy' are just a few things which helps that comparison a lot.

They're pretty cheap movies , made straight to video, I think robocop 5 was better than robocop 3, they had an evil twin robocop with badass twin guns.
Uh...what are you talking about? There are only 3 Robocop films and then the remake.

***** yeah the "robocop prime directives". 4 episodes about an hour and half for each. I dont think the movies were that bad, yeah the movies looked super cheap, but they were still better than robocop 3.

I agree Prime Directives was better than Roboshit 3 but they were still kinda' bad but a guilty pleasure!
I like Nikko the little girl lol. She was cool. Robocop III was not bad, It was not as great as 1 or 2, but it was decent. a Hacker little girl has been around since the days of Penny Gadget from Inspector Gadget.
I love robocop 1 and 2 hate 3 and the remake i agree man
