Just bought that exact bike today on discount, personally just going to use it to ride to any local place around my house for some exercise and to save wear on the truck haha.
How's the recovery Ian? I'm on a fitness bend... small ride of a morning. Hrs walk each day. Looking at march for rail trails with my dog. Bought a Fiji hybrid (aluminium frames mountain bike with narrow wheels.) I can go up to 35mm for the fast light trip on the trail alone to cover some k.'s. All the best with the new bike
Sounds like you're all set. Hope you have a great time. Fuji make good bikes. Hybrids are a good blend. Recoveries going well, back riding regularly, loosing weight. I'm still limited on distance, due to surgery and fitness, or lack of 👍 Cheers mate
The most important thing on a fat bike is that the wheels support a tubeless setup for low pressure riding in sand or snow. You should not ride bicycle tubes at low pressure because the tube will spin in the tire and tear out the valve Only in the top model Bigfoot 1 installed tubeless ready rims sun ringle mulefut sl. Bigfoot 1 and 2 no name cheap rims. Bicycle manufacturers take customers for fools when they sell unnecessary things at high prices.
Yes, I'm very aware of the issues involved. On the 3, the tyres are tubeless, and the rim can be set up tubeless as well. I run Tannus Armour tyre inserts with tubes in all my other bikes, but Tannus doesn't make one for 27.5x4.5 tyres. I live in Qld Australia, so the chances of snow are very slim. Sand definitely, but low pressure levels and tubes for me also equal pinch flats. The bike will be a bike packing bike, so loaded the pressures won't be super low. I will probably go tubeless in the end for this bike. Cheers mate 👍

The 2.5" riser alloy bars. They sit me up up nicely.
