    Teaching an archer who let his sight picture tell him it’s time to shoot for years Is a hard habit to break.
    Furthermore the
    subconscious mind always get involved & their shot continues to get faster & break down.They need to build a correct step by step sequence & realize being on target is not a reason to shoot. Only if the shot is totally prepared correctly do we proceed with the shot! Good Advice from you.

    I feel like instinctive shooters that use triggers like you mentioned finger touching mouth, feather to nose, I believe they try to allow their mind to put everything where it needs to go before they hit that trigger. They’re ‘just right’ time, is the time it takes them to draw back and hit anchor. I also believe that just right amount of time is likely based per person upon the amount of muscle control and strength of each and every person has. I’ve noticed my just right time is a little longer some days and a hair shorter others. I myself was having issues the other day, after analyzing them, I believe I’m having issues with the way I shoot. Inside 15 yards I’m consistently more accurate when instinctive shooting, which in my mind is actually subconscious gap shooting when you think about that. But at 20-25 yards, I more consciously gap shoot. My gap is point on at 25. The other day I believe with some of life distractions and stresses breaking my focus and ability to relax and just take it easy while shooting, had me fighting with which one to go with while trying to shoot=not good shooting those two days. This bow is a challenging and fun experience, and helps me learn about myself in ways I never did with my compound and I appreciate that effect. Sometimes.

    I’m also loving the internal trigger. Least tension of any of the triggers I’ve used yet.

    Interesting, I have pretty much shot grip it and rip it for 40 years. I just recently got to watching barebow and started a week or so ago messing with 3 under and crawls. My problem was my point on was 50ish yards and shot short high poundage bows that hated 3 under let alone a crawl. I found a light recurve that likes it. Amazing, I can do a 25 yard crawl and just hold a bit low up close and top of the back at 30. I also noticed that doing about a 3/8" crawl down made instinctive shooting much easier. I spent last season hunting with a tiny Turkish bow and filled my tags. I think I am going to do a fixed crawl but, we will see. Me and my oldest boy have been watching your vids on the TV and you can't comment there. I just wanted to say howdy and tell you an old dog can learn new tricks👍

    Traditional or compound if you hold too long it is generally a bad shot. When my buddy is shooting his recurve and I noticed that hes holding too long. I would just say to him let down let down let down. And he hates to let down😂

    Is the mouth fart World Archery compliant?

    • @pitbullman4111
      @pitbullman4111  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed, unless they make breathing or moving your mouth at full draw illegal 😆

      @@pitbullman4111 I expect to see an interpretation update to the WA rulebook with a PDF document from the technical committee on acceptable breathing methods at full draw. 😉
