No, not even Sonys marketing BS is claiming that: “With the world’s fastest autofocus system*" *: "Amongst interchangeable-lens digital cameras equipped with an APS-C image sensor as of February 12, 2014. Determined with internal measurement method with E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens mounted, Pre-AF off and viewfinder in use."
Matt, I've been following you for years and I'm proud to say that this march I'm going to buy the X-E2. The T1 cost a little more...I know that evf is going to be more like an ovf and that it's superb, but I've tried the EVF of the X-E2 and I really like it...it's my first serious camera...so I think it's going to be fantastic and I just want to notice you about that. Can't wait :)
Hey matt, since you liked the old 645D, the new one (with the same 50MP CMOS sensor that the new PhaseOne and Hasselblad are using) should be interesting. It's probably using some of the new tech from the K-3, just like the old 645D had tech from the K-7. Faster processor, new 86k pixel exposure chip, probably the K-3's autofocus module and a tiltilly-flippity screen... Maybe a hands-on with the K-3 while you're at it?
The new *Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art* has been reengineered to set a new standard of performance in the Art line, the 50mm F1.4 Art is a pro level performer for full-frame DSLRs, It has been updated to include SLD glass and optimized for rich peripheral brightness with improved large aperture performance by positioning wide elements into the front groups. Plus an optimized autofocus algorithm for smoother focusing and a floating focusing system to reduce lens movement while focusing. *Under the Global Vision line* it features a new matte finish, improved AF on/off switch and guarantees every lens is tested with Sigma’s proprietary modulation transfer function (MTF) “A1” measuring system before being shipped. Now with *13 elements in 8 groups* compared to the previous 8 elements in 6 groups, it also has improved close focusing at 15.7 inches and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.6 ( Sigma claims it has been *designed to surpass Canon and Nikon and compete head on with the Otus* ) I hope you see it there along with the Otus
MrJyHowse no I do not, the new 50 f1.4 art lens has been announced already, you can see it on there website, and I have read different articles about it, so I have high hopes that it's going to be a great lens like the 35 f1.4 art, maybe the best 50 ever made, hopefully as good as the new Otus but with autofocus
photographerjonathan lol are you sure you don't? :) I wouldn't mind one though, I have the 30mm they do and it's my favourite lens despite its auto-focus issues. Best 50 ever though? In what criteria? That would be some lens...
I emailed Nikon last week and asked them if any new DSLR's were coming out anytime soon. They told me NO. LOL So I guess the D-610 or the D800E are my choices for now. I like their 14-24 wide zoom also. Have you had the chance to use that lens?
Im curious about the a6000
No 7d mark ii? no new 1d series from canon?
Any chance of a XT-1 review? and how it plays with manual lenses?
Nikon D4s!
Check out the a6000 from Sony. It's supposed to have the fastest AF, of any camera, ever.

Have you ever reviewed the Sony QX10?
7d mark ii is being tested at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, and should be out later this year. This is info off the web so I'm not 100% certain

Can you review Canon EOS 70D?? .. I know it's been out some time... I would like to see your review :)

Kodak 65 x optical zoom, Sony H400 - 63 x optical . How is Canon sx60 answer? anyone from Japan? :D
The T5 is nothing more than the T3 with a bigger sensor. Save your money and buy the T5i with the better, faster sensor. IMO
Mat....Mat...Mat....aren't you supposed to be with your wife on Valentine's day? Or are cameras your real true love?
