I love this channel. I don't do Church videos but this information still helps with promoting other businesses with my video work. Never stop!

If I wanted to reach Christians all around the world what would be the best targeting? I'm having a difficult time finding anything Christian related in the interests section when creating an audience.

Facebook Ads don’t need to be complicated! The best thing to do is just get started and experiment!
And if you're wondering how this applies to a church without in-person gatherings whatsoever - I will say that I wrote this video about ten weeks ago and we've held off on publishing until now.
I define 'bridge events' in the video as anything church-related that intersects with both community relevance and your church's mission.
Generally, we think of this as an in-person gathering. But it doesn't need to be limited to that whatsoever. This exact same process could be applied to a digital context.
It's the whole "what you post online if your Sunday service didn't exist?" adage.
The principles don't change though. You may just need to think a bit more broadly here.

I've been "experimenting" during stay@home by boosting the post with youtube link for our sunday church @ home. Just $10-15 per week was all we wanted to spend. Trying different audiences (ages mostly), goals, etc. It's been fun and I'm interested to try with more exciting things.
Our church is older and in general not social media savvy. But we have a lot of past members, member family members who still follow us on facebook. In general, they have been LOVING our online presence :)

So, we have done some facebook ads in the past. I was wondering if you have any additional insight on targeting an audience. We have mostly focused on geographical targeting within a reasonable radius. Besides geographical targeting, are there any other recommendations?

Mm. Thank the Lord the clarification in this video. As 2 designers who work at a marketing agency, we had a church come in for a strategy meeting wanting to run programmatic campaigns and instagram ads (not specifically for an event, just for the church location, I guess?). But we certainly promote the use of ads for events such as the ones described here in the video. I was afraid upon clicking would just be how to setup the ad manager and let loose, which will not be a good return on investment.

I Pastor a small church of 30-40 north east of Nashville, Tn. I use FB ads for our events. We have had great success. I have targeted people within a few miles, spend $20 for 2 weeks. Have had great responses.

Great vid! Super helpful. But, could you make a video or blog post that targets Facebook Audiences and how to best build a target audience so that your FB ad reaches the people we want to actually reach? We are in NYC so targeting is super important. Thanks!

The easiest way is to collect information through the Facebook Ad and then follow-up from there.
