“The people rifle” is $2,000 using industry standard parts and materials but it’s got the noveske name on it.
Honestly if it goes on sale, I’d say it’s worth it. Noveske barrels are cool and the upper + handguard are nice together. Similar value proposition to a Geissele or DD

Define for me "industry standard," please. 90% of the ARs on the market aren't built to any standard at all. 85% don't even meet basic mil-spec and have zero qc before they are shipped out. Good on Noveske for entering into the well built quality rifle market, which starts at the $1500 mark and goes up.

Having just purchased a BCM MK2 14.5” complete rifle earlier this year for under $1,200 I just can’t see this as a smart buy. I’m sure it’s a great rifle but I’d feel like I didn’t get my $ worth. I’ve purchased or “built” several $2K+ rifles and I’ve learned a name tag only goes so far. Looks great though.
BCM makes a solid rifle. I found one used on gunbroker for a good deal and it’s a great rifle. I’ve had zero issues with it and have been very pleased. I put a geissele trigger in it and it shoots like a dream. The bcm parts kits and bolt carriers are great too for building your own.
@@AJohnson0325 I hear ya. I added a Geissele trigger also and swapped out all furniture for Magpul. I like having. Matching trigger and furniture on all rifles to have a universal feel.
Noveske, Larue, Daniel Defense, and Geissele are a step up from BCM. BCM is like the reliable middle-ground, Aero but a bit better. You're obviously paying for the Noveske name, but the same goes for the other brands I mentioned that Noveske competes against.

I simply feel once u cross the mid tier threshold the “cost vs receive” ratio drastically plummets. And I mean hard!! To a point I feel stupid for spending the $. B/c I’ve done it. I understand the heart of the gun is the the whole BCG/gas system/barrel but... 1900 for a forged receiver with a mil spec trigger/magpul hardware is a hard swallow. You can get an Aero for about half the price. Is the Noveske more reliable? Probably.. but is the Aero reliable enough for 98% of people watching this video? Yes.

Yeah, it’s super obvious that this rifle is cold pizza. Cold pizza is still good but not hot pizza good. Soon as he said there’s only a 10.5 and a 16 I knew it had to be surplus parts or something. Noveske didn’t do this out of the kindness of their hearts lol.

Value wise .The BCM Mk2 setup. The buffer system is a improved A5. Mk2 upper is a improved milspec. BCM is knocking it out of the park. And it's pretty affordable.

@@calebclark6739 There's thousands of BCM and Sionics and Sons of Liberty guns in patrol cars now. Pat Rogers at EAG ran BCM guns to failure. If pinned gas blocks were of the upmost importance. They would pin the gas blocks. If you have ever tried to remove one you'd see. A properly dimpled gas block is not going to move.

I have the stainless steel BCM Recce 16 and I get sub moa at 100 yards too. I think for the $300 difference the BCM will probably be the better option. It comes with a pretty comparable trigger, both come with a H1 buffer and ambi charging handle. The BCM has nicer furniture imo
I have a couple AR'S that cost more but I always seem to grab my bcm when I head out the door I have done a few geissele upgrades . If I could only have one I would keep my bcm .

I changed the trigger because its milspec not that it makes it bad but geissele is better and I changed the bcg because its phosphate just like my Daniel defense they are a good bcg but harder to clean, so the changes I made were not necessary but in my opion made them a little better .
New subscriber! I love Noveske stuff, but they could've hit this thing out of the park at the sub $1500 arena. At around $2k...seems to be a crowded space in my opinion. We all know Noveske has some of the best barrels out there in terms of quality and accuracy. Thanks for taking us on a first look at this new offering from Noveske. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Have you shot any LWRCI or POF barrels? The Sig Sauer 716i Tread has shot sub MOA straight out the box. FYI all triggers are SSA-E.

It's not "just as goods" its the fact that you can get an adm billet upper and lower with a true ambi controls lower with a criterion barrel for less than this. 2k is not "the people's rifle"
What would you compare the anodizing to with these? Are they closer to the current Gen 1's or the more 'muted blued' anodizing on the non-cerkoted Gen 4 stuff? Noveske finishes seem to vary widely.
noveske is cool and all, but after 2k you are splitting hairs and paying for the name with di guns, no di gun is worth 3k, noveske, radian, kac are gouging people just my 2 cents and I have a scar 17,but that's my dmr rifle and 308 that only sees match ammunition

Just when I thought SOLGW lost their minds charging $2100 for a rifle with a $130 Ballistic Advantage barrel, the chainsaw shows up.
Note: Daniel Defense V7 rifles are not 2k. You can buy them right now for $1500 and they come with an ambi safety and the top cold hammer forged barrel on the market that will last 2-3x over a stainless barrel and shoots .75 moa from my experience. DD also makes every part on their rifles, warranties every part, including the barrel for life, and their BCG is proper C158. Noveske gets their BCGs from rubber city armory and marks them up $80 with their logo. This is a solid rifle at $1300-$1400. You are going to have to spend another $200 for a trigger, $50 for an ambi safety, $100 for an A5 buffer system, and $100 for a B5 stock and grip to get it to a top of the pyramid rifle.

Woe to yee who has to change that barrel and time that barrel nut with the handguard. Fix that Noveske on the next version. If Aero and Radian can you do it, you can do it.
Rhudys firearms in fayetteville nc has them in stock, got s chance to hold one.. it felt just as good as the Daniel Defense in my opinion

Noveske makes a fantastic product, but you're essentially paying for a name.
Receivers are receivers are receivers. As long as they're in spec, you're good to go... my SPR runs a BCA side charging upper/bolt carrier with a Criterion barrel and a BCM bolt (was running a Toolcraft, it's now lubed in a plastic bag stuffed in the pistol grip as a backup)
If you shop around, and know where you can make sacrifices, you can build what I'd consider a better rifle for much, much less.
If you WANT a Noveske, I'd never talk anyone out of it, but I'm of the mindset that if I'm going to own a rifle, I'm going to know how to put it together from parts, and with the parts market on ARs today, there's no practical reason to spend this much on a rifle.
Love my Noveske's. I wanna say mine are first generation? Vltor upper, full pic rail, and cut down 249 SAW barrel. Bought them way back when Johnny was still with us. Still the best people to deal with.
Respectfully I dont see why someone would buy this vs a rifle that is alot less costly or just save a little more money and go with a radian or ADM. In my opinion nobody wants a 16 inch gun when 14.5s seem to rule the AR market. This is a bare bones AR15 with a nice barrel that MIGHT outshoot an AR that is hundreds of dollars cheaper. Most guys wont be using this rifle as a precision AR and even then they most likely arent shooting at targets where the precision difference would matter. I think a 14.5 offering with choice of muzzle device and bringing the cost down a couple hundred dollars is where this rifle should fall. Not bashing Noveske im sure they make awesome stuff but I cant see a demand for this rifle.

Na, the "iron cross" has been used throughout history. Like many symbols it was used by the Germans starting in the First World War, but by no means did they "own" it.

The way I see it, bcm mk2 upper is a really good place to look. Just know that their barrels tend to not be the most accurate but I see that as a more interchangeable part over time anyway. It’s the stripped upper and hand guard that is more permanent
What makes a Noveske barrel worth $400 plus?

Did you not see the groups he posted….and the factory walkthrough that covers all the QC and attention to detail/craftsmanship that goes into each rifle…?
In my experience, accuracy and consistent performance. Every gun we’ve shot so far has shot sub moa groups and done so consistently over thousands of rounds.
@@RedRaider1803 BCM, DD, and SOLGW rifles all have good QC behind them. They’re still not charging what Noveske is for their main line of rifles.
Also you can shoot sub MOA groups with a Ballistic Advantage barrel and the right ammo. Guess people will fall for anything 🤷🏻♂️

If BA barrels work for you run them. No one is telling you, that you have to get something else.

@Such Is Life Budget is relative. Most people lack the necessary skills. With that being said the Chainsaw brings very little to the table for what they are charging. For $1900 you're getting a basic mil spec rifle. Yes, you're getting a cool barrel (arguable). The rail interface is something out of 2010, the receivers aren't anything special, and you're getting almost everything you'd find in a DD, BCM, SOLGW, etc. for more money. Noveske doesn't innovate. For the 3k they're asking for their main line of rifles I'd rather go with an HK, SIG Spear LT, KAC, or LMT. At least with the last three they innovate (enhanced bolts, proprietary gas system, etc.). Noveske is just charging for their name. But hey if people want to pay for a Noveske go right ahead. There's a Noveske 13.7 that's been sitting at my LGS for months and they keep dropping the price and it still hasn't sold.

It's amazing. Never using anything else. I know I'm not Jim but if you're in the DFW area I’ll let you try out one of my guns to see if you like it. Also, weapon outfitters have some videos of the A5 system on their IG.
I just ordered an A5 system for my current build because all of the reviews out there. They are barely more expensive than any other quality buffer system, so the only downside is the amount of buttstocks to choose from that will slide all the way in.
The BCM Mk2 is a imoroved version of the A5. I have both. The A5 is a fully vetted system. Developed for the Marines M16a4 for a collapsing stock.

The A5 system will have your rifle shooting as soft and flat as an SR15. Would never own a rifle with the A5 system.
Will noveske uppers fit ADM lowers and vice versa?
All Mil Spec Receivers should fit fine with ADM Receivers according to their website.

Pretty sure The People’s Rifle is a $450 PSA that even a CVS cashier can pick up. A $2k “entry level” rifle is not ever going to be attainable for most people.
I’m a small FFL. Most of the people purchasing their first rifles set a price point of $750 for the rifle and then they swallow hard at the sight of the cost of optics. The reality is that only snobs think that BCM, Noveske, SOLGW, Daniel Defense, and other premium “milspec” manufacturers are entry level.
Noveske makes fantastic products, but they are a boutique manufacturer. This doesn’t change that.
Yea I’m gonna go ahead and get that ADM 13.9 with ambi-controls Radian charging handle and safety Geissele trigger Magpul furniture with the Criterion barrel but I still think the Infidel is a cool rifle!🧠🤯🔫
If you buy the upper and lower separate I think you can get it for like 1600. Much better value in every aspect.

I just looked, it’s actually $20 more expensive to buy the upper separate from the lower than it is to buy the complete rifle. But I think that the quality of what that rifle is compares to rifles several hundred dollars more expensive, so it’s still a good value comparatively.
@Court Witt they must have changed the 10% tax on completed rifles law. Used to be a separate tax. Either way...I'll take that 13.9 core for 1900 with full ambi controls, and billet upper and lower over a 2k forged non ambi every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

You can build an AR for under 1K that will run just as well as any of these so-called high-end rifles. Continuing to pay high prices because someone's name has been hyped for years is ridiculous. If you're comfortable milling your own lower, you can do it even cheaper. Save your money for ammo, gear, and training.

What "Saving Cost" !! Installing ambi controls costs under $50. Tired of these companies cheaping out on details, especially when a rifle costs close to 2k. Should be industry's standard by now. Why wouldn't i go with Geiselle Super Duty, that offers all of this, plus ambi controls, Metal charging handle, $300 trigger, and $120 Surefire muzzle brake for the same money

that accuracy you are getting is going to decrease fairly quick compared to treated or lined barrel.

At least you know what you are, self awareness is key to life. I had a radical, it shot okay. I don’t own a noveske BUT comparing a budget rifle to a higher end rifle is a exercise in futility. Also asking a man to travel to shoot your budget rifle is kinda… yeah… if you are happy with your rifle that is fantastic… let’s see when this gets in the hands of people who view it as worth their money and what they think. I know guys who currently have some newer noveske stuff and are very happy with it.
FrogMan tactical did a video about this. He said the firearm industry is lying to us. It's a good video to check out. Colt charged the US military 700 dollars per M4. Fun fact.
They’re not lying, it’s business and most people don’t understand margins. Also the Colt contract was in a different economy so not apple to apples. Additionally, manufacturers will take a profit cut or even a slight loss to secure contracts because of what they gain on the back end in terms of advertisement and revenue to upgrade facilities. Not everyone that wins a big contract is the best option.

WHO?!?! who is Noveske talking to themselves lol. ignoring the many comments saying this is nosveke factory second line just rebranded to sell off... even so 2k is alot in todays market. end of the day its your money in a free county I'm not hating (always heard good things about noveske) but this whole "people" rifle just reeks of bullshit from a company completely disconnected form the people and just trying to ride a trend without any effort. so many great comments on video as well of just as good if not flat out better options for 2k or less.
