What can help if you struggle with getting you foot in the band;
Use the barbell supporters and put this on a hight.
Hang your band over both supporters with either end.
Now you will have horizontal support and you can lean with both feet in the band.
The higher the band the easier

Holly, you have REALLY inspired me to make the choice to start running. I am 53 years young, Mother of 5, Grandmother of 12, and running, for me, was ruined by my middle school gym teacher when he had us doing a one mile run of laps around the school basketball court. He never taught any of us “how” to run, just told us we had to run, and for long. Honestly, I never knew you could learn how to run until I started following you on this You Tube channel, so thank you for teaching me something new! So, I made the decision to start, and not get frustrated with the process. I will start off with achievable running goals, and I am really excited to begin. Thank you again for all you teach us about running, and I look forward to loving to run instead of having to run. ☺️ 🏃♀️🩷

Interesting - I feel the opposite about running safety - muuuch safer on the trails and (as a woman) more on alert on roads/in town. That might just be because I live in an outdoorsy town so all the people I come across on trails are like minded. It’s the city people that scare me 😅 Of course, wild life safety is always something to be educated on & prepared for!

I am just getting into running this year and watching your vlogs and running on the treadmill has helped me so much! Even if I'm running a 5k and you're running 30k+ it makes me feel like I can accomplish it! My goal for 2024 is to run a half marathon in Nashville! Holly, 1. The blue top in the very beginning of the video looks great on you. Definitely your color. 2. I have been watching your videos a lot and they have really motivated me to start running but I was really scared to. I'm about to be 43, I have arthritis in my hips and spine, I've tried running before and really struggled. I had a ton of excuses. Then I was on my walk the other day and decided to try to see how far I could run. I RAN FOR OVER HALF A MILE!!! The last time I tried to run was in August after losing 80 lbs and I couldn't run for even a minute. Thank you for your inspiring videos and showing us how important it is to show up for ourselves and that even through really difficult times in our lives we can do hard things and accomplish big goals. ❤
Also, I bought your 5k guide and can't wait to get started.

I absolutely LOVE trail running! Although I guess the trails I tend to run on aren’t true trails as most of is paved (not well!!!), but I just love being in the forest for a run- best way ever to destress and clear my head!

I work at a speciality running store and always recommend Patagonia and craft for winter running gear, but they especially have good gloves for running in the cold that aren’t too bulky! I personally use the Patagonia Capilene Midweight Liner Gloves. Nathan and Saucony also have good gloves and are more affordable.

I love this video Holly! I have a question .. lots of people emphasize the importance of recovery runs after hard runs.. so incorporating a recovery run the day after your long run, interval runs, etc. do you think this is necessary and if so how would you implement those recovery runs? xx

which lulu leggins are you wearing for your long run? Looking for a warm pair of leggings for the winter xx. I am wearing the gymshark leggings you recommended for running (with the drawstring waistband), but they are sooo thin so not the best for negative temperatures. Do you have any good dupes for the lulu ones that will keep you warm during long cold runs?
Loved this video!!! You also may find neutral grip chin ups easier? It combines the biceps and back rather then the underhand grip which is just bicep?

I am asking for Shokz for christmas and can’t wait! I feel pretty safe in my area but it does get creepy in the dark and throughout the week I just have to run in the dark🙃 But I always chose well lit streets (as well as possible) but still creepy as noone else is usually around at that time! But I wear a reflective vest that has a light in the front and back plus I have a whistle (might help if I am attacked for others to hear / find me) 🫣 sucks that we have to think about this, but be safe out there❤️
