It's really not hard to see why people are leaving Bandai to buy Hiya.
yhea. hiya may not be as good in acticulation but they nail it in acesorys,sculp and even paint
@khornesupreme honestly, is there even that big of a gap in the articulation? Their Shimo has already been fully revealed, and she looks to have more than enough.
@@Havok91 at least in their first realeases the acticulation was really limited in for example their first kong and godzilla,rodan and even ghidorah .but is true that they had a great upgrade in their acticulations
@@khornesupreme for sure. I was tempted to buy their Ghidorah 19 for its accuracy, but my SCV SHMA has more flexibility, so I passed on it. But Hiya has made MARVELOUS strides in the short time they've had the license.
@@Havok91 in my case i am going to go full hiya. i love their sculpt,scale and paint. and i feel that figures like mecha godzilla or scar king are going to be absolutly superior to shma

This figure, while looking exactly the same as the previous figure, actually have slight but significant improvement to the previous such as colouration and paint job on specific part especially eyes, the eyes are way better and closer to being screen accurate, something I don't see S.H MonsterArts do at least based on my observation but I don't stay pessimistic with S.H MonsterArts forever after seeing the announcement of the upcoming figure, let's hope they will redeem themselves soon and become what they was once

Actually the original Hiya Toys Godzilla has thicker dorsal plates and heavier.

Loving the figure
Thanks for the review! Having one of Hiya’s takes on Godzilla I was kinda iffy on New Empire Godzilla because I felt he was coming off as too light grey-green and kind of off. These in-hand examples are perfect and much closer to the sort of lore traditional look I’d like though!
WRT to him being too monochromatic I do agree though, though I feel it’s more because of this Godzilla design itself, a remnant from the 2014 movie where he had more “naturalistic” shaped spines. There it made sense to have them closer to the color of his body. But since we’ve added more traditional shaped spines, I feel it could be nicer to lighten their color, bringing them more into line with the classic bone white. Could be a potential release from Hiya (or SHM I guess).

You mean the one with the additional articulation added to the neck collar? I think I've looked at 4 on the channel using this mold?

So I looked at King of the Monsters V1 Godzilla, then 2 of the Godzilla Vs Kong Godzillas with the second one having the updated neck articulation

It’s a beautiful figure. But the height is very small for me. A little disappointing. 8 or 9 inches would be better.

I didn´t love Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Call me crazy but I enjoy the humans in the movies and this one had the least of them.
To this day, my favorite of the Monsterverse movies is KING OF THE MONSTERS. However, if they are going to take away most of the human story at the very least let it be like Godzilla vs Kong. That had was more balanced.
