This is probably the best Hiya godzilla yet. Maybe even the definitive version. Paint is great, sculpting is fantastic and articulation is better than ever.
I would certainly wanna see a hiya skar king. With a snarly grinning and roaring heads. A bendy wire for the whip and kongs axe. And the crystal at the tip of the whipslash should be translucent. Excellent review btw 😁.

So I then pre-ordered this off BBTS. So happy to see that it looks and moves as good as it does like I've been literally hearing everywhere.
I love how in the monster verse Kong story is growing up and discovering family. Well Godzilla story is A rocky style montage of him getting back in prime condition after the Titan equivalent of Covid
Got it for 15$ at a suspicious chinese market, it wasn't fake or bootleg but the box was dented and looks pretty much the same. I'm glad I got it for such a low price since I already have 2 hiya godzillas already. HIYA is trolling us at this point by making better versions later and later like the ghidorah one which was really expensive but worthit
I never noticed but the neck peices on the gxk goji are updated!! Not 100% sure, but it looks like it on this review I've got the gxk goji on order now and its arriving soon so i'll check by then. Thank for the review!!!
10:33 Why does it look like the main dorsal plate on Pre-Evolved Goji look kind of warped? KOTM and GvK have that normal spine we all know, while GxK Godzilla has a shorter, more dull look to it. I don't know, I may just be nit picky. Still gonna get it since I don't have a HIYA figure yet, but.. I don't know..
I feel like the more I watch this compared to the GVK Goji, the more I think it's more of a case of "which color pallette do you prefer?" I feel like this one is a great "stark daytime/lighter tones" pallette whereas the GVK one (I have the 2.0 version in particular) is a darker, way more subtle almost like a "nighttime" look

He is my first Figure from Hiya and God(zilla) i really am blown away by this. Simple but so effective and he looks so freaking good. Felt like i was getting a NECA Goji figure all over again. Can't wait to see what they did with Evolved and 2014 Godzilla. Also hyped for Gravity Beam Ghidorah👀

im really glad that i just entered the hobby. i mean hiya kotm default and gvk default are pretty much hard to find this day ( idk how i manage to get thermo and nuclear at 65 each but it is what it is) so im glad that i will get this one. haha
It seems like the hiya kotm godzilla was painted as inconsistently as the hammond collection tyrannosaurus. I bought 2(1 to sell later), and neither looked that bad
Apparently this dude is the most accurate sculpt so far.... I heard that hiya used the same neck mold that they used for the translucent version, which is slimmer than the KOTM and Re-release GVK neck. (Idk if this is true though, I've just heard this from a few people.) (Edit: i just realized someone else in the comments brought up the neck situation as well.)
I can't wait for the day when we have a fully articulated Shin Goji that you don't have to be scared of messing with. I wonder If Hiya's will look like Necas or Monsterarts.
Even if prices were the same, I’d likely go with Hiya, simply for the better Quality Control and size of the standard figure. Less stress with a Hiya Figure.
I was wondering if I could get some help. My figure just came and is moving pretty well but the hips won't move. No swivel, no up or down, nothing. Looking close it seems almost fused, with tiny gaps to show it should move. Ive never had a figure of this quality or price and I don't want to break him. Any suggestions? I'd be very thankful.
From my own experience, my KOTM Godzilla was (and still on.) pretty stiff right out of the box, however my Re-evolved Goji, who I just got today, wasn't stiff right out of the box. You can make your decision based on what I said.
I like the more prominent torso on kotm goji more but damn, his tail articulation is just so stiff on some points it's amazing to see others with the newer version not having to deal with this annoying detail anymore, but does anyone know any way to perhaps fix the tail ???

I can’t say too much about it, they’ve released promo images and prototypes that look fantastic in the end, with a final product looking nothing like what we saw. So I’m remaining pretty neutral there. $130 is a pretty big ask for a 50/50 chance of good or bad lol

I've never owned the previous versions, but I'd say this figure the spikes aren't that sharp, which I'm all for personally cause handling these can hurt at times 😅. Mine, though however has a slightly warped spike around the middle but not that bad, I'd say.
Honestly didn’t notice that until now. Could very well be. Might be intentional. Now I have the urge to look into all them and see if they’ve been getting duller over time.

Actually this is the same mold as the translucent atomic breath goji with the softer plastic and skinnier neck for better range of movement.
I got mine today two of the dorsal fins where warped/bent.
It looks good, but since I have the improved version of gvk godzilla, I will skip gxk one. I'll just wait for the energized version

Hiya keeps improving their Godzilla, i hope there'll be improvements for Ghidorah too (besides the color and gravity beams)
