    Love the new Tucson! Would like to see Hyundai move the rear turn signals from the bumper to under the brake light or on the opposite side of the brake light (as on the Kia Sorrento)

      This is honestly my biggest gripe about my 2022 Santa Fe Calligraphy. Nice taillight design but no integrated turn signals. I'm just bewildered with the setup.

    Not sure about your number because the rav4 in the uk is bigger than tucson on boot and interior. Only assume your driving the long wheel base version.
    Also not you don't get 40/20/40 rear seat split you get 60/40

    I have a 2022 Tucson with the convenience package as well and it DOES come with 10 changeable multicolor ambient lighting options. You can adjust them through the Cluster > Lighting menu.

    Not a fan of GDI. Did Hyundai finally add the "valve top washing" system like Toyota has in their GDI engines? This is the #1 pick for me but need to know if they are using the technology where the top of the valves get washed by gasoline.

    Great Detailed review!
    I don’t care so much about speed cause you can only go so fast nowadays. So many cars on the roads.
    As long as it looks great (shape/style is important), drives smooth, fairly good on gas, can hold more than a few grocery bags, and comfortable (I’m tall), then it’s good enough. The rest (heated/ cooled seats, ambient lighting etc are all just bonuses.
    The only thing I don’t care for is that intense blue colour.
    I prefer more a deep, navy blue…

    I think that the time to 60mph on this Tucson is not 7.1s. Different sources give different times, but none gives it 7.1 seconds with the base engine. Its from 8.8s, through 9.3s, and ending with shamefull 10.2 seconds. I suspect that 7.1 seconds may be about correct for the hybrid version (I just look it up; 7.1s is for the hybrid).

    • @Excelmyexcel

    Why don't you have 1.6 T engine it much better quicker quieter cleaner and better in fuel. Cannot believe your still using that old 2.5.
    Still using yellow lenses for indicators so out dated
    Why are you listening to exhaust note that something little boys in 1990 did have drivers not matured in your country.

  • @Dancer810
    @Dancer810 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just to clarify....the only Tucson that gets REAL leather seats is the Limited trim. All others get either the cloth, cloth/H-Tex combination or full H-Tex (SEL w/Convenience Pkg.), which is a synthetic imitation leather material. Also, the Limited trim doesn't get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto due to the navigation feature. Since the lower trims don't have navigation, they're able to have those wireless connections. This was explained to me at my local Hyundai dealership.

  • @BitSmythe
    @BitSmythe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    10:57. The ‘22 PHEV has no spare. That space is taken up by batteries.

    does the 2023 still have the engine issues that the 2022 and below have? I'm seriously looking into a hyundai tuscon but do not want to deal with that after spending so much on a new car.

  • @zxtenn

    I am looking at the 2023 SEL non convenience AWD in Portofino gray, just came in the dealership Friday, i agree it looks nice and yes LOTS of room inside. I would need to see 0-60 in 7.1 though, i would assume maybe 9 with only 187 HP, i know it has an 8 speed but still need to see it to believe it. I have a 2021 Forte 6 speed manual and will only lose a grand compared to what i bought it for but since it's a trade i save about a grand on sales tax so it's a wash, my car has 22,000 miles on it, pretty good driving a car for 18 months and breaking even, good used cars are at a premium now, Forte is AMAZING on gas especially on the highway

    • @jedimasterq
      @jedimasterq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He mistakenly got the 0-60 time from the Hybrid. That one does 0-60 in around 7.1 seconds. The 2.5L gas one will do around 9.3 sec 0-60

    • @zxtenn
      @zxtenn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jedimasterq Sounds about right, i didn't buy it for sub 6 second 0-60 times so i knew what to expect. I took it from NC to WV and got 30 mph highway, it cruises and rides like a cloud, handles great with those 19 inch Michelins, is super comfortable and goes up Sandstone mountain holding 70 no problem. The 'convenience package' with the sunroof, wheel upgrade, interior, etc. is WELL WORTH the 2250.00, interior looks just like leather, heated and power seats are also great touches

    • @jedimasterq
      @jedimasterq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zxtenn I have the 22 Hybrid SEL-C and it's incredible. I wanted something a bit stronger than my 18 Tucson, but better gas mileage, and it's certainly that and more. I regularly get 35-40+MPG in mixed driving, and it's pretty quick in acceleration. I was thinking about the gas one but based on what they gave me on the trade-in and the relatively small amount extra for the HEV, I decided that was a good choice. I would have liked the leatherette, but the cloth seats aren't bad, and very comfortable.

    15:38. While the gloss black is pretty, it is miserable. Any time the sun is visible, there’s a bright reflection off some glossy part.

    I owned 2022 Tucson Hybrid "Ultimate" and not happy nor satisfied, a month after I received my Tucson, Hyundai Canada sent me a recall letter called Campaign Service C0448 and the dealer I bought my SUV told me the Hybrid battery is not covered by warranty even though I added extended warranty called "PREMIUM PLUS" that cost me extra $3,759 dollars that did not give me any protection!! so why should I trust Hyundai brand or Korean product?
