- We take a look at the Ford Transit Connect MS-RT and try to make it from near Newcastle to Aberdeen and back on a single tank of fuel .. will it make it?
This should give you a bit of a preview into this fantastic model from welsh tuning masters MS-RT but we will have more content coming with this van in the coming months, including a full review. Mainly because this is one of our very own work vans!
I bought a 2018 Transit Connect cargo for my daughter for her bakery. She absolutely loves it. Here in the states (Arizona) it's basically only available with a gas engine and auto trans. I'd love to get one with a manual. I'm hoping Ford will put the 2.3 liter hybrid motor in the Transit Connect in the near future; the same engine that's rumored to be going into a Mustang.
I completed a manual swap last year in my 2015 TC in Florida. Just this week I finished a Focus ST engine and transmission swap in it.
Just bought a newish Ford Grand tourneo 1.5 120 Diesel titanium 2019 facelift 5 seat instead of 7 more practical for us on trips we love it may start some modifications early like back spoiler and window deflection later on after warranty a remap hoping for the best results with being a adblue to the 140+ -160 if achievable the latter but until then we are more than happy with choice
How did you put the dual exhaust? Where do you get those parts from ?van looks killer two thumbs up
What tow bar did you have fitted really struggling to find a man that wants to fit a bar on mine and did you have to trim the bumper. Thanks

These are from a company in the UK called MS-RT ... They sell these as a whole van however I am sure you will be able to locate the parts from them.

It drives really well. Compact and light and the handling is excellent. Very taught and plenty of grip. You can really hustle it a long .. the engine is nippy rather than quick but it feels responsive and theres power through the range. We are more car people than van people but this was something we certainly don't regret buying and it's one of the coolest looking small vans on the market.
is that SWB or LWB? How much did it cost for this package?
Short wheel base this one and is ordered that was from MS-RT. This one came used from a deal at about 25k GBP
Whats the engine in it ? Sounds like a V8 lol sounds a lot better than my 2015 connect 1.6 diesel 👍😂😂
Standard engine with an MS-RT exhaust and remap ... Makes a difference lol
