The Mexico Macabre set just arrived yesterday and it is beautiful. Just finished reading the 100 page book and it was fascinating. Between Severin and Indicator they really have the best box sets going. I can't wait for the Black Emmanuel set to ship out. I'm really looking forward to that one!!!!
These breakdowns are always helpful because even knowing nothing about the films, Radiance’s packaging is so enticing! But I really hate doing total blind buys with all of the awesome boutique blue rays available right now
great news as a B/Z movie lover the more movies preserved the better, we lost a lot going from VHS to DVD, early bluray catalog was apalling but slowly and surely it gets better, another upside those remasters usually look better than most if not all modern movies, they have grain and details digitally produced movies don't have anymore, most of my direct-to-vhs 80s 1080p blurays remasters look more HQ than 2023 "4k" release
I agree with you, indicator are also one of my favorites though I'm fast becoming fond of Radiance Films as well. I did pick all 3 of these sets up and they look amazing but I have not had time to dive into them yet. I kind of splurged and also bought The Exotic Ones Fab Press hardback book that is the companion piece to this set as I found the whole thing to be very new/different and fascinating and I'd not heard of this stuff before so wanted to delve deeper into it. The book was a bit expensive but I must say it's absolutely stunning and of very high quality and presentation and definitely worth the money!
Indicator does not always get the best movies to release, but of what they do release, they have overall the very best physical releases in terms of packaging and special features. Indicator is the best! I only wish that their box sets would not go out of print and that they would not have to lock their blu-rays to region B (Europe) so often.
Indicator is one of the best boutique Blu ray labels! It is beautiful and amazing how Indicator treats its releases! Not all titles or Box sets are for me as I am main Criterion collection but I have some Indicator titles like Irreversible, Scum, Enter Santo, the Pemini organization, etc.
Also I just wanted to add how much I love that Michael J Murphy set. I really had fun with Blood Stream as it was filmed in Britain during the video nasty outrage...... Just a complete look at a low budget film makers career and I love it.
Really love the MJM box set. I guess it is an acquired taste ;-). He stands apart from American low budget filmmakers. I watch so much already and still I am not halfway.

Yeah they do a nice job with transfers
It's pretty wild that a obscure figure like Michael J. Murphy would get a deluxe box set.
Agreed- pretty exciting

Yeah it’s gotta be tough to get global rights for some films these days with so much competition between all the labels

Definitely different from low budget us filmmakers you are right. Fascinating dude
Curse of the Crying Woman is a horror masterpiece IMHO.
Nice! I think Elric liked that one a lot too. Gotta watch
I used to be an indicator completist but I’ve kinda fallen behind on getting their releases there is so many good releases and other labels these days
I get that it is very tough to keep up with all good stuff coming out from all the good labels every month!
That Mexico Macabre set is outstanding. Made up for my sheer disappointment of that Michael Murphy POS
Glad you are digging MM set 👍
