Yep - was my first thought also - follow the $$$
As always. Brilliant review and camera work
Oh great! Another 1725kg “sports” car 🙄
No no you don't understand it's for safety! Imagine if it was 1350KG like that "very unsafe" Porsche Cayman! The horror!
Its not supposed to be even a "sports" car. The M3/M4 never was. Its a super saloon/GT type of car.
@@GoldenCroc This latest offering isn't a saloon/GT, it's just a hideous sack of shit.
@@liverpoolscottish6430 You may well feel that it is a bad super saloon/GT, but it still is one. Please try to keep the discussion on a reasonable level.
Excellent vid, Henry.
I see it and the Looney Tunes theme comes to mind. 🤣
Some people have criticized those Lego dimples on the shifters, I think, when properly understood, it's brilliant.
The price of this car is getting real close to a 992 Carrera S. Looks aside, the M4 is probably an awesome car, but I know I'd rather have a 911 if they are priced similarly.
excuse me? A 992 s STARTS at $115,000 with no options. that's $50,000 for "real close". Maybe a cayman, even that is a stretch.
@@XcoolcoolbeansbeansX here in South Africa both starts from around R1.95 million. Dont know what's up with BMW SA then
No way man. The 992 is well over 100k. That said I would pick a Cayman GTS 4.0 manual over either.
@@gobinduppal4429lol..a Cayman gt4 is a M2 equivalent. They nimble.
Best presenter, best videography, always my first stop. 👍🏻
The color reminds me of Aston Martin vantage
Henry as usual gives the benchmark review......non-the-less, that grill. Gotta love your car as you approach it.....that grill. Just can’t!
There's gotta be a tuner that's selling more...restrained bumpers for this
Overweight, overpriced, overstyled, auto gearbox. These aren't M4/M3's they're something else. M SE's or M Lux models perhaps
not to mention dealer experience / service and warranty / service costs together with insurence
It's also oversized. You forgot that. All horrible negatives in my eyes
Also insanely fast compared to all the older cars.
@@TrueFilter I have an issue with speed and power compared to feel and driving pleasure. The abstraction of the driver from the driving has got too far in some cases. So the speed almost doesn't matter. Can't fault the engineering and the fact that bmw have to work around various safety and emissions regs. The starting strategy for this car was wrong it seems and we've ended up with an M6 type of car. Can't get around mass with more power without sacrificing sharpness and feel.
It is fast though!
@@amirhashm1 it’s sharper and handles better than the old classic m cars.
Superb review as always
An M3 now has 500 horses! That's more than a Ferrari 550 Maranello. However the Maranello wins at top trumps as it has more pedals!
Not with the manual
I would rather have that!
And it looks absurdly better
What is the point of that comparison? The F82 generation M4 also had more power than most Ferrari's that came 20 years before it, same with the E92. All of which come with manuals.
What a useless comment this is
Amazing review, Thanks Henry!
