I'm starting alot of my seeds this way. Honestly, I have more luck with this than soil blocking. I was really excited for soil blocking...I don't have alot of space. I have shelves/lights, in my laundry room. I always have a late do-over and use promix. So... this yr. more plugs..and starting seeds in trays. I aclimate my zinnias in the seed trays and put them in my small field, with no issues. Going to try stock! good to know about the leaves!
Great video and great info 👍 thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing your update 😊🤗 I'll do a video when I get the rest of my seeds started. Have a great day and happy gardening 🌿🌱🌷🌸🌻🌼😊🤗
Can you share brand and where you got your mister used today? I've been looking for a quality mister and am unable to find one in my area (SW MO). Thanks so much. Love watching your channel! You give such relevant and helpful information!
Lovely video, as always. Appreciate it. But as usual, this info is popular and easily available online. I wish some expert like you would show the entire process, from seed to harvest, selecting the right planters etc. Also, there seem to be so many different categories that bloom at different times. It is so confusing 😢 the ppl who need to learn the most from such content are mostly home gardeners. 😢 thanks for considering.
Have you ever tried verbena? I put some in starter trays last week and it said to lightly cover ,but those seeds are so small I was afraid to cover them with soil.
Hi Christina, do you ever sprinkle vermiculite on top for moisture retention when starting flower seeds? Does using a cover prevent the need for vermiculite? Thanks from Victoria BC!
I love your mister. Where did you get it? Also, one constructive bit: Katz is a person’s last name and is pronounced Catzz as in kitty cats. It sounds like your saying Cots and in many canvas beds in a tent. Love your vids! Keep up the good work.
Somehow everyone. Literally everyone shows only sowing seeds. For stocks and lisianthus. That's how far you can get with information online. And then there are harvest videos. And the whole plant/scale etc. nobody talks of it
Yes a seed starting video on a lovely lazy Sunday ❤ thank you 😊
You are so welcome!

Yes Burpee is my go to than Epsoma
Thanks for the info. This is the first year I've grown stocks and I was worried I had seeded them too heavily.
Glad to help
Thank you Christina. I hope all of your seedlings are doubles! ❄️💚🙃
Me too!
You have a very good eye for color. I guess being a photographer helps. ❄️💚🙃

Where did you get that misting container? I’m looking for something similar with a fine mist to use on my indoor citrus trees.

I'M sowing the exact same way!!!

That’s one thing I haven’t tried!
What do you recommend potting them up to? Would you transfer them to 128 or 72 trays?
I just posted a video today - I transferred mine to 128!

On my Lisianthus yes!
Thanks!😊
When do you do these?
I grow these in the early spring.
Put the trays in Ziploc bags it works better than the saran wrap
good idea
