For peeps who don't know- this is based around the mythology with tapirs! In myths, they're seen as dream eaters and very wise beings, able to create a mist with the dreams they eat. Also- support the devs, not the publishers! This poor dear looks so rushed out.
The thing that sticks out the most for me about Nidra is the fact her lipsyncing is all over the goddamn place compared to her voicelines. Also Baihe showing up completely fucking blindsided me, there was never a release trailer for her! She was never teased the same way the other characters were, she just showed up with no prior announcement.
Compared to the others, this is so cut and paste that it's actually insulting. Like they only made it for Arizona and just paste the other characters in. The flower doesn't even seem to cover any of the others. I bet the fired devs planned to make the flower change for different fighters. Not to mention the dreams, their taste, or anything else.
Oleander's extra eyes is pretty much the closest we get to any variety here. It's a real shame that this character with so much potential was left to the wayside

MLP's fricking official artist offers to make the new designs for the game for free. Incomplete game is released with updates with new features and characters. Game gets recognition for doing things that at the time of it's release wasn't common spread and fighting games from big companies weren't doing it anymore (these things being a good tutorial, a good connection system using rollback netcode and a unique story mode using pixel rpg inspiration. At the time big games made by companies like ark system games still used delay netcode that is really bad for people further apart from each other in the world or with bad connection quality overall. Games like SFV still were infamous for having awful tutorials.) Game is extremely charming as you can see. However very incomplete. There was a Kickstarter were people would support the game with the promise of new character updates and snew story updates (until now only one chapter is out) After some time the game was picked up by a game company and everyone thought that would help it go further. Then recently with the announcement of this character, the team announced that this will be the last update in the game they will be working on. No more updates will be worked on after this. There will be no more updates. The story still has only one chapter. The game is still incomplete. The only new thing is that now we have this character. Now the game will definitely die (it was struggling to have a good player count before already) People who paid at the quickstarter won't get the money they invested worth.

Obviously the IP holders Hasbro didn't approve of this violence-based copyright infringement and killed the project 1st time. The devs said "okay well but it'd be a shame to lose all the work we already put in, so why don't we replace all the branded characters with our own indie characters?" This seemed to work for a time, but now the Publishing studio responsible for getting this game onto marketable platforms like GOG, Steam, or whatever has also dropped support for the project. 2nd death.

it was, Them's Fighting Herds was originally going to be a fan game for mlp called Fighting is Magic, but hasbro sent the dev team a cease and desist. but the devs didn't give up and wanted to continue making their fighting game. mlp fim show creator lauren faust thought the C&D was unfair as it was a fan project that was gonna be completely non-profit, so she took it upon herself to help the dev team by helping with the designs of the main six characters.
